Him and Rockey Bernard, to go along with Kofield and Robbins At DT. Osi, Tuck, Kiwi, DE. That is a dominating Dline.

Thanksgiving 2009: Giants vs. Broncos
http://www.giants.com/news/headlines/story.asp?story_id=36173
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ - The Giants will spend Thanksgiving in the Rocky Mountains.
The Giants will be playing on Thanksgiving day for the first time since Nov. 26 1992
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced at the league’s annual meeting today that the Giants will play the Denver Broncos on Thanksgiving night, Nov. 26, at Invesco Field at Mile High. The game will be televised nationally on NFL Network at 8:20 p.m. ET.
It will be the Giants’ first Thanksgiving Day game in exactly 17 years – on Nov. 26, 1992, they lost to the Cowboys in Dallas, 30-3. The Giants are 7-6 on Thanksgiving but have played on the holiday just twice since 1938, including a 13-6 victory over the Lions on Nov. 25, 1982.
The Giants, the defending NFC East Champions, first played on Thanksgiving in 1926, their second year of existence, when they defeated the Brooklyn Lions, 17-0. After a two-year hiatus, they played a Thanksgiving Day game every season from 1929-38. They did not play again on Thanksgiving until 1982.
The Giants lead their regular season series with the Broncos, 5-4, but are 1-3 in Denver, including 0-1 in Invesco Field. They last played there on Sept. 10, 2001, when they suffered a 31-20 loss in a Monday night season opener.
The Giants and Broncos last met on Oct. 23, 2005, when Eli Manning threw a two-yard touchdown pass to Amnai Toomer with just five seconds remaining in the game to give the Giants a dramatic and thrilling 24-23 triumph in Giants Stadium. The Giants trailed, 23-10, early in the fourth quarter before commencing their biggest fourth-quarter comeback in six years.
The Giants at Broncos matchup will conclude an NFL Thanksgiving triple-header. The early game (FOX, 12:30 PM ET) will be an NFC North meeting of the Green Bay Packers at the Detroit Lions. The second game (CBS, 4:15 PM ET) features the Oakland Raiders visiting the Dallas Cowboys in the Raiders’ first Thanksgiving game since 1970.
That evening, the Broncos will host their first Thanksgiving contest since 1963 when they lost Oakland Raiders, 26-10.
The rest of the 2009 regular-season schedule will be completed and announced in April.

Plaxico Burress -- RELEASED
The New York Giants released Super Bowl hero Plaxico Burress on Friday, a little more than four months after the talented but troubled wide receiver accidentally shot himself in the thigh in a New York City nightclub.
Didn't the Giants miss out on some great free agent WR's, such as TJ Houshma-Houshma-Houshma-not-gonna-be-a-Giant?

Most stadiums that have closed recently have had some kind of ceremony at the last regular season game. No one usually plans anything for a playoff game. The stadium deserves a send-off.
And while we're at it - Do we start the season every year against Washington now? And why do we have to play the Vikings every year? And why are three of the first four games on the road? Nice chance to get off to a bad start there.

I missed the announcement that we were playing the Thanksgiving night game and just saw it now with the release of the schedule.
Aside from getting a big game like that, I'm not exactly pleased with the scheduling in this case. Granted, three teams have to travel and play only 4 days after their last game, but I find it ridiculous that Dallas, Denver, and Detroit all have home games the Sunday before Thanksgiving so they don't have to travel anywhere. How the fuck is that fair to the traveling team on 3 days rest? Make those teams play an away game the week before so they at least have to travel home.

only 2 games a year are scheduled games and arent preset. Every year you play your div twice, (6 games), 2 other preset divisions, one NFC 1 AFC 1 time each
that leaves 2 games based on your finishing place.

Talking about NFL schedules and who has a hard schedule and who doesn't and what games are wins and what are losses might be the dumbest thing in sports.
Maybe after the draft. Maybe after the start of preseason. But with parody, its just so fucking stupid and is a waste of time.

I would prefer not to trade for anyone, and take one of the receivers in the draft, preferably KENNY FUCKIN BRITT.
Why give up a ton for a guy WHO COMPLAINED AS HIS TEAM WAS WINNING THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP or a guy who cant fuckin catch when you can just take a really solid receiver, maybe even a game breaker in the first round. If you really wanna trade, trade up for Crabtree or Maclin and it will still cost less than one of those 2 BUMS

This is what people havent seemed to understand. Im not upset that we have Nicks. I dont htink Nicks sucks. I think he will do fine. And Im really excited to see what Barden can do in the red zone.
I just think Britt is alot better than Nicks. Bigger, Stronger, Faster and Britt's hands are fine.
The reason the giants didnt take him is he was suspended for a game earlier this year for missing curfew. Plus the fit matters in a team game. it was a no doubter that Britt would be so happy to be a Giant. Tennessee got a fuckin steal.
I think Nicks will be very good. I think Britt can be great

My theory on Britt and why the Giants might not have taken him: He's from Bayonne. They may have been worried about giving him NFL money and in his time off he would probably go back to his old neighborhood and hang out with his old crowd and probably get himself in trouble like 99% of players seem to do. Sure, there's nothing stopping him from hopping on a plane and doing the same thing but the proximity of the Meadowlands to Bayonne just makes it that much easier. After Plaxico, I think the Giants wanted to stay clear of that potential issue. That's my two cents.

Yea except that didnt happen while he was at Rutgers. Also close to home. And it never stopped them from pickin up Ryan Grant or Jim Finn or any of the other local guys.
And i love how everyone is sayin Nicks is this awesome character guy. Character includes work ethic, and people who arent lazy dont gain 15 pounds in 3 weeks.
Plus Sean O Hair also went to Rutgers, and Chris Snee is Tom Coughlin's son and law. They dont care about all that kinda stuff. Never have anyway

if this is true plax really is a dumb stupid bastard
linky mc linkerton (http://www.prosportsdaily.com/comments/former-new-york-giants-receiver-plaxico-burress-turned-down-plea-bargain-to-threemonth-sentence-for-gun-possession-says-report-241178.html)
"Back in March, ESPN's Sal Paolantonio reported Plaxico Burress had declined a couple of plea bargains his lawyer had worked out for him. (Sorry, I can't find a link and I'm not sure it was ever written, though I know Paolantonio reported it on-air.) Then, last month, ProFootballTalk.com delivered a similar report.
Now, Bob Papa, the Giants' radio play-by-play man (as well as a Sirius/XM Radio host and the voice of NFL Network's live games) has the details of what he's heard Burress has turned down.
"This is what I've been told and what I've heard," Papa said this morning on Sirius NFL Radio's "Morning Drive" program. "They worked out something where they had it down to about a three-month jail term with actually only two months served and about 1,500 hours of community service. And I think his lawyers felt that they had a pretty good deal. He doesn't want to go to jail at all. He shot down the deal - just like he shot down the new contract the Giants offered him to try to get his money back. He does not want to go to jail at all. So now coming up in another couple of weeks we're going to find out what's going to happen. But my guess is that the city of New York is not going to back off any kind of jail time."

So you're saying the Giants front office are morons. The morons who drafted Osi and Jacobs and Boss and Bradshaw and Kiwi and Justin Tuck in recent years?
Did they overpay for Eli? Sure, a little. But sometimes you have to overpay to keep your franchise player. Especially when that player won a Superbowl in his first 4 years as a starter. Oh and never missed the playoffs and won the division twice. And coming off his highest rated season in his career. And has value as a personality in the biggest market.
It's not much of a stretch.

Just amazing. I'll be posting some stadium pics in the Dallas thread but it was so great to witness this event live. It was a spectacle...a little ridiculous at times but we were there for football. Romo was so off, our D looked terrible...250 yards rushing against us? I'm a little worried about that. Eli was money again in crunch time. It was his 12th come from behind win his career. Say what you will about his dumbface and questionable play occasionaly but I will take "retarded Eli strength" if it keeps winning us games.

I was gonna say if you keep throwing into x2/x3 coverage there will be an INT. No need to now.

That safety #41 is a tad useless for the Giants no ?

Fuck you Eli.

No offense but that's funny stuff.
If the Saints had any kick coverage this game would be a bigger blowout.

Perhaps those 5-0 Giants (who beat up on the likes of the Redskins, Bucs, Chiefs, and Raiders) weren't really all that good...

I wasn't able to see the game because of the stupid Cowboys being on but it turns out I'm glad I didn't.
But since I wasn't able to, someone explain to me how they looked. Please don't just say, "they sucked". Be specific. Is is at simple as our secondary being exposed and we can't catch up? Are the injuries catching up with us? Eli? The D? It seems like we're not playing with any urgency or fight or discipline which are words that always described the Giants.

Dear Frustrated,
When you stop playing winless teams and actually compete with proper NFL teams you get exposed.

No..
Its because our secondary is pure shit.
Aaron Reyes Ross has not played a game, and Kenny Phillips got hurt. And the Boley injury hurt alot too. He was a beast on the field.
Our Dline has been disapointing too.

Losing KP is killing this team... also, Ross needs to get the sand out of his vag....
Boley and canty need to be out there as well.. bye week can't get here soon enough

That's what I thought guys. I knew Phillips was a major blow but we'd been doing pretty well substituting for hurt players. I have no idea why Ross still isn't playing. Then Canty and Boley getting hurt just made it bad. And has Rocky Bernard had any impact? I don't think I've heard his name called during a game this year.
I'm scared for our 2 games in 5 days.
Sunday, 11/8 vs. San Diego
Sunday, 11/15 BYE
Sunday, 11/22 vs. Atlanta
Thursday, 11/26 @ Denver

its really a whole mess of things
tynes cant kick off for shit, then the special teamers cant cover the kick and the oppossing teams seem to start at the 35 or better every possession
the secondary cant cover nobody, the 4 man rush isnt working but we cant afford to send more bc the secondary is bad enough already
opposing rushers seem to get 5 yds a carry while they load up the box against jacobs
eli's making the same mistakes he made in year 2
and too many injuries to count, they are the football new york mets

The Dline has no time to get to anyone because the Wrs get wide open so fast ad the QB plays pitch and catch like it was a back yard game.
