this thread isn't about the Germfreak (from the great DJNewstlye show), but more about "Germ Freaks" in general
The thing I can never understand is why people like that never seem to take an effort to better themselves. Anyone who talks about their Germ Phobias seem to take pride for it, and make excuses for them instead of curing themselves and working on being a better human
I can understand where Germ fears or being "Grossed out" by stuff comes from. When I was in college, the showers were so gross that I didn't want my feet to ever touch the floor..so i bought flip-flops. Then when i moved back home, I kept using flip-flops cuz "shower floors" and "grossness" were tied together in my head. But then i realized "this is weird, no one else touches this showerfloor but me and normal people don't use flip-flops all the time". So when i realized i was acting silly, i stopped wearing them. For a few weeks it felt weird and uncomfortable, but soon it just leaves your mind
i just don't understand the mindset of wearing your phobias on your sleeve like a badge of honor. They should be something you should be ashamed of. If you can't touch money or use a restaurant's silverware, its not something to think is cool. Its probably the least cool behavior you can possibly have. My question is - Wheres the shame?
Anyway, I do find Germfreak's personality really really funny and i do like listening to him on the radio, but i laugh at him being a weirdo that people in society should not act like rather than "ok i'm digging this guys style...hes got his way!"
