So I decided to put up this poll and see what is happening out there in the country. It's also for November 4th.
It's simple.
click in the poll who you voted for-
Obama
McCain
Third Party.
I ask that you also post a quick note to let everyone know if you voted in early elections, an absentee ballot, or on November 4th, and what state.
Thanks-it should be interesting.

Good luck on that-I like that the turnout is going up. No matter who you vote for, whether or not I like that candidate or not, if you have the opportunity to vote, please do. I can't express how important it is to me to see everyone who can vote do.

I voted absentee as a Virginia voter...didn't switch to Illinois because it was gonna be a sure thing for the big D no matter what. Voted for Obama...hope he doesn't screw things up if he wins.

I hate early voting.
Lazy bastards should be forced to stand in line with the rest of us ham n eggers.
Since Obama is going to win Delaware by 20% this year, I think I actually may toss one of the third parties my vote this year.
I generally do that in elections where the candidate I want to win is a shoe-in (and Obama is beyond a lock in Delaware).
So Ralph may be the benefactor of my strategic vote strategy, although I have to check who else is on the ballot.

I was all excited when I found out that there'd be early voting in VA, but it turns out, you have to qualify for it the same way you do for absentee. No early vote for me.:banning:

I am voting for the McCain ticket and praying our Lord Jesus Christ that he brings John McCain to sit near him in Heaven soon after 20 Jan 2009 so we can have President Palin. It's about time we have a Christian running this country as the Founding Fathers have intended all along.

No, it's not. I had to apply to get the absentee ballot and when I filled out the form I checked off that I was living in another state for education reasons, and since I moved to Chicago for the sole reason of going to DePaul and get my teaching degree, which I am doing as a fulltime student right now, it's perfectly legit. As of the last national election I was registered under the address that I'm still listed under in VA, as the VA absentee ballot requires.

I just walked up the hill to the middle school, voted OBAMA and walked back down the hill.
I'm already 0 and 1 in voting, as I voted for Kerry in '04, but if Obama takes it, I'll be movin' up to 3/5 and 1.

Chicago all the way. It's where I'm from and how I was raised.
I probably will end up moving back to NoVA in a few years since counties like Fairfax pay teachers REALY well.
I got in line at about 6:50 this morning in my little hick town and there were about 100 people in front of me. By the time the doors opened at 7, there were another 100 behind me.
I've never been to vote so early so I can't say if this is a normal thing or not at my polling place.

I just got home. Voted this morning about 12 hours ago. You gotta hand it to the poll workers being there all day. I know they get paid for it, but it is nice to see the same people year after year, which is comforting to me.
OBAMA!
This is the first time I have ever voted Democratic for the presidency. I'd like to thank all of you for debating me this season and giving real reasons to vote for Obama, and not just against McCain. Because I do like John, I just didn't like his policies being so incoherently presented to America, his VP pick and the way the McCain campaign did such a poor job presenting her to America as well. Made me wonder that if his campaign was so chaotic, how could he run the country?
Anyway, I'm proud of this board. No matter who you voted for, federally and locally, I'm glad I live in a country where the change of power is done with such ease and acceptance.
We will continue on being the light of democracy to the world with elections such as this. Good job guys.

I took my kids to the polls today. Where I vote in Massachusetts you use a paper ballot and a Sharpie to fill in your selection.
I voted against John Kerry. I voted to lessen the criminalization of marijuana in the state for the second ballot question.
On the third ballot question regarding abolishing dog racing in the state I let my 4.5 year old son make my decision. I asked him "Are you for dog racing or against it?"
He was all for it so I voted to keep it in the state.
