Yes I know this title shocks no one here. But specifically my DvD player broke the other day. I understand this and plan on buying a new one today. However There are so many damn plugs attached to my damn tv I know it will be a major headache to get this thing working. In fact I am thinking I may be so dumb that I will have to call up friends for help and wait days before this puppy is working. I am so dumb when it comes to this stuff it is embarrassing and I don’t embarrass easy

get a cheap HDMI Dvd player and buy an HDMI cable with it.
2 plugs, power cord in the outlet and HDMI to TV. BAM

Baby steps my friend you can do it.
Just think of the cords as paths for water to flow through and how they connect the it should either flow directly from the DVD player to the TV or at the most from DVD player to Cable Box to TV
And dont ask your ex girlfriend to go shopping with you to get the DVD player and you will be fine

someone mentions hdmi, but i dont see the op mentioning having a high def tv.
hey, you do realize you can just disconnect the cords from the back of the dvd player, and plug those cords into the new one right?
unless disconnecting a power cord is too rough forya

At least most DVD players don't have a clock on them.
Hell, mine doesn't even have a display. It's a 30 dollar player from Wal Mart, owned it now for over 2 years and it kicks ass.
