I'm guessing Obama either didn't take Business Organizations, and Federal Income Tax, while in Law School at Harvard, or he was given a pass so Harvard could finally say that they have a black editor of the Law Review.

Obama answered his question in a somewhat awkward way that the McCain campaign decided to use against him. So they started pushing it, and made "Joe the Plumber" (sic) a symbol of the poor oppressed small businessman who would get fucked by socialist Barack Hussein "I Love Bill Ayers" Obama's tax plan.

At that point, the press examined both McCain and "Joe the Plumber"'s (sic) story. They looked to see who "Joe the Plumber" (sic) could actually be. And it turns out that McCain was lying about how Obama's tax plan affects small business (most small businesses would be absolutely exempt from any tax increase), and that "Joe The Plumber" (sic) himself is not actually a licensed plumber, isn't anywhere close to being able to afford to buy his business, and might actually get a big tax cut under Obama's plan.

So here's the moral here: "Joe the Plumber" (sic) could have stopped all this by either trying not to play the "gotcha" game at that Obama rally, or by, afterwards, saying "I asked him a question, I got his answer, that's all I wanted, good day gentlemen." Yes, he would have had one or two days of reporters at his house, but they would have gone away just as quickly. But this douche had to start acting the part. And he's getting the scrutiny for it now that he deserves. He's not in the spotlight because the "liberal media" is trying to get him for attacking the Anointed One. He's there because he wants to fucking be there.

I'm not buying this argument that only people who criticize Obama get the liberal media scrutiny. The McCain campaign has held up Joe the Plumber and and Backward B Face Scratch Woman as examples of common decent Americans getting either attacked by liberals or potentially taxed to bankruptcy by a future Obama administration. Should the media just accept their stories to avoid being accused of unfair scrutiny?
I'm just not seeing this liberal bias. I see journalists just doing their jobs by asking Palin very reasonable questions about how seeing Russia from her state gives her foreign policy experience or investigating claims that 6'4'' black men are attacking white women for supporting McCain. If Biden claimed to be an agricultural expert because he likes corn and has seen lots of wheat fields, I bet Katie Couric would ask the same questions she asked Palin. If Obama talked about some woman named Jane who couldn't get medical attention because she didn't have health insurance, would the press seriously not bother to investigate her story because of their liberal bias?

And it turns out that McCain was lying about how Obama's tax plan affects small business (most small businesses would be absolutely exempt from any tax increase), and that "Joe The Plumber" (sic) himself is not actually a licensed plumber, isn't anywhere close to being able to afford to buy his business, and might actually get a big tax cut under Obama's plan.

So here's the moral here: "Joe the Plumber" (sic) could have stopped all this by either trying not to play the "gotcha" game at that Obama rally, or by, afterwards, saying "I asked him a question, I got his answer, that's all I wanted, good day gentlemen." Yes, he would have had one or two days of reporters at his house, but they would have gone away just as quickly. But this douche had to start acting the part. And he's getting the scrutiny for it now that he deserves. He's not in the spotlight because the "liberal media" is trying to get him for attacking the Anointed One. He's there because he wants to fucking be there.

By the way, I highly recommend this Paul Krugman piece on "Joe the Plumber" (sic) and real plumbers in Ohio, and how screwed they all are, no matter how much McCain pretends to give a fuck about them. Great reading.
