Well wait a day...I have DL it today. It keeps locking up on me at one spot. I am fucking pissed right now. Have tried it like three times. Wait the day or so. I should have of known better.

WHY THE FUCK DO THEY RELEASE THESE ADDITIONS KNOWING THEY HAVE BUGS!?!?!?!?!?!?

That's what happened to me w/ the Pitt. Would freeze my entire 360 when I tried to advance to the Steelmill. It's fucking BS that they'd release a glitched product twice. Don't they test this shit?

Exactly...you figured they would test it. I love the game too, but this is too much. When I DL'd it, all of a sudden the VATS was sluggish as was jumping from places on the map.

Heads up to everyone. Wait at least one more day before DL it

It's one of the good things that came from me fucking up my saved game. Now I'm going to wait till all content is out and working before I start the game again.

Ok...since I loaded the download I know what the problem was. This DL is a huge one and it takes time to actually get acquainted to your game, especially a saved one. So when you DL it, start a saved game. Wander around for a bit, but try not to enter too many places. You will soon see a message "Broken Steel has been added. Levels now go up to level 30." Once that happens then you are good to go. Played for a while and had no problems since I wrote earlier.

Everything this company releases is a non-functioning piece of shit. I don't know why people keep buying shit from Bethesda. I bought Fallout 3 and however good it was when I finally got it working wasn't worth the 3 weeks of working on my computer to try and get it working. It wasn't much better on the consoles.

I keep buying the stuff because its pretty good and solidly entertaining once it works, I consider myself fairly lucky I never had any problems with the original FO3 and only minor stuff with the first 2 DLC's. Broken Steel is a whole other story though.

XBox 360...I am enjoying the add-on now. Although the Super Mutant Overlords are a bitch to kill. They also now have a new perk where if Dogmeat dies he spawns a new pup and he will follow you around.

You find him in the scrapyard, around the backside of it. When you arrive early enough you find him fighting two very weak raiders and he kills them. You then go up and talk to him, and he joins ya. You can even find him much later in the game and is pretty helpful in letting you know baddies are nearby.

Also need to watch out for the Albino Radscorpions, they are a bitch to kill as well.

I just stumbled across the Feral Ghoul Reaver and it killed me in about 3 hits and my full strength Terrible Shotgun did barely any damage to it. And it was just as I was feeling good about myself wandering around killing regular Ghouls with one hit.

Man Fallout 3 is awesome. Never played the other ones but this is a great installment for Bethesda. It is not the best FPS (First Person Shooter) per say but the story and gameplay is amazing. It is a giant world and you can do anything, and be any kind of person you choose. the V.A.T.S. technique is a nice touch to compensate for the okay Controls of the FPS. This game will have you playing for hours and the replay value is very high. Cause it is always different when you replay parts. If you have the money and enjoy rps's i say go for it

You can. It's worth it. Dogmeat's the best.
I put off finding him until I thought I was leveled up enough to keep from him from getting killed, but the next time I play through I'll get him earlier.

Sure the have had problems... but there are few companies (and even fewer games) that do it better... I have Fallout 3 and all the DLC... I've never had a problem with any of it... to be fair I waited a week for them to correct glitches that couldn't or wouldn't be revealed in in-house testing.

So is it the extra week of waiting that you are angry about? 'Cause you come across as really angry...

A new DLC came out yesterday, Point Lookout. I had no idea there were more DLC's coming, I thought Broken Steel was the final, but there is apparently one more after PL as well (an alien invasion one!).

I played through the entire questline last night and it was really fun. My favorite DLC so far.

Didn't run into issues with this DLC being glitched or anything, thank god. I did have a load screen freeze once, and a few instances of lag, but that was it.

So the wife is out of town and I decided to start playing again. I stopped right before beating the original storyline; I'm supposed to meet Dad at project purity. I am at level 20.

1. Should I get a DLC now so that I can gain exp?
2. Are the DLC's standalone or sequential?
3. Which one is the best?

Hmmm, I would say go with Operation Anchorage, Broken Steel, and Point Lookout.

The Pitt is so-so, but it is not an essential part to the experience. I say OA because you get the Gauze Rifle which fucking owns. Broken Steel cause it allows you to go to Level 30 (So DL this one first.) and then Point Lookout which is a WHOLE new area to explore and is a must download.

I would say the Pitt is optional and if you really feel like adding it on, you only get a few radiation upgrades. But asides from that it is nothing special. I personally like AG-23's Plasma Rifle...which is better than any weapon you will get from the pitt.

just played fallout 2 for real in Reno last night ... it was almost perfect - I was all a traveller and shit - there was bums and ennui.

How do I get to Anchorage? I try and be the good guy and don't poison the well, and the game just ends after you activate Project Purity. What am I missing? The Anchorage DLC is shown on my in-game Downloads section, but selecting it does nothing. I like Ron Perlman, but I don't want to listen to that ending monologue again. What do I do?

STC-Dub

Don't do project purity. Leave the monument, you will pick up a radio signal -- if I remember right -- that will lead you to the place where you enter the Anchorage scenario.

You have to download Broken Steel, it's the only way continue after the ending of the game. After that, all the other downloads appear within the game (Anchorage being a mission to find a distress signal).

Or don't finish the story... I forget, some people save before doing things.

If PC join this site http://www.fallout3nexus.com/ and download the DC Interiors project. It opens up dozens and dozens of locations that appear boarded up in the regular game the mods adds hours of exploration time

I was going to buy this game for the PS3 but I read that it's very buggy, and that it's buggy for the PC as well. Have there been patches and/or updates (console) that addressed this? I saw the trailer for New Vegas and it looks nice, but I'd like to play this as a primer.
