What's with all the friggin Dunkin Donuts?! seriously, they're everywhere up here. I looked online and there are 10 in this zipcode alone. In Chelsea, I saw two dunkin donuts across the street from each other. what's the deal Boston?

I'd guess that there is a decent market for branded doughnuts in the Boston area.

Not speaking of Crispy Creme is taking the word donut in vain.

Whatever you do don't actually go into a Dunkin Donuts. Go down the street. There will be a local guy. There always is. No Starbucks either!

many years ago, I read somewhere that either Providence, Rhode Islad or the state of Rhode Island itself had more Dunkin Donuts per square mile than any other place in the world. I might have read that in a non-existent encyclopedia in a dream.

There are plenty in NYC as well.
Who knew there was such a market for unflavored brown water and tiny dry donuts?

A couple of months ago, the Boston Globe did a story about it. They figured out that there is one Dunkin' Donuts franchise for every 7,000 people in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

However, there's still always a line for coffee.

More importantly, what are you doing in Chelsea?
It should tell you something when there's no subway stop in a neighborhood.

I kid ... I pass though Chelsea every day.
I'll wave at you as you shake your impotent fist at chain stores.

trust me, there are far more up here than on LI. for Christ's sakes, there were two across the street from eachother. and not a main road, a side road in a neighborhood.

More importantly, what are you doing in Chelsea?
It should tell you something when there's no subway stop in a neighborhood.

DHS has an office there. I was conducting some training. So i stayed at a hotel down the block.

I hate Boston Dunkin' Donuts.
The have some totally wacky law that their employees can't actually apply the creamcheese/butter to your bagel.
Instead, the merely give you a flimsy knife a frozen briquette of Philadelphia.

I also hate the BAND Boston.
When I was younger... not so much. But now... they suc-diddly-uck, Flanders.

I do have fond memories of playing there many many many times though.
Very enthusastic audiences there. They really get rowdy for the right band. Rock!

Irish chicks sometimes have big foreheads. Odd.
