I really had a great time last night. Much thanks to the powers that be that put on the event. I only met one new person last night, the great daily leeder.

I only had 3 scotches over the course of the entire night but the details are still fuzzy because

a) there was so much shit going on
b) I'm completely exhausted

I arrived with the truly dazzling Ms. Reillyluck around 11:15 and of course there was a mob scene in front of the bar. Lots of the cool kids were smoking, along with a ton of wannabes. After the obligatory hellos and handshakes with Ron and the non-geeks (about 10% of the RFnet crowd, let's be honest) we headed upstairs. The biggest buzz was that the Brooklyn Blowhard had indeed made it out to his very first Ron and Fez event. He was the king, sitting on his throne waiting for his adoring public to come up and kiss his ring. It was great to see my buddy finally mix and mingle with the commoners and get the adoration he so rightly deserves.

It didn't take long for the slobbering troglodytes to test my mettle as they shamelessly hit on reilly and attempted to grope her, but after a few warnings of my readiness to throw the hands it subsided. For a little while, anyway. :furious:

I saw tons of old timers and met a bunch of new people. I'm afraid to start listing names because I know I'll leave someone out, but I'd be remiss if I didn't say how great it was to finally meet foster and JimmieHats. Really great guys, both of 'em.

There were so many hilarious moments that I can't even pick a few out right now, but I'll return with a more detailed report after a pot or two of coffee.

(PS - reilly did indeed live up to her promise of matching JerseyRich's total of doing something in my car. No...it's not sex :sad:)

I really like to take the time and reflect on the year as my birthday and the Holidays come around. Being that it's my 30th Birthday today, a sense of appreciation for all that I have really hit me like a freight train.
I have been through some really shit times over the past coupe of years and this board and the people involved with the show have really made it all worthwhile.

I'm so happy to call you guys friends and to have a place I can come to when I want to share and a place to catch up on all that is going on in your lives.

I have met some life-long friends and I wouldn't trade any of you for the world.

It didn't take long for the slobbering troglodytes to test my mettle as they shamelessly hit on reilly and attempted to grope her, but after a few warnings of my readiness to throw the hands it subsided. For a little while, anyway. :furious:

I saw tons of old timers and met a bunch of new people. I'm afraid to start listing names because I know I'll leave someone out, but I'd be remiss if I didn't say how great it was to finally meet foster and JimmieHats. Really great guys, both of 'em.

There were so many hilarious moments that I can't even pick a few out right now, but I'll return with a more detailed report after a pot or two of coffee.

(PS - reilly did indeed live up to her promise of matching JerseyRich's total of doing something in my car. No...it's not sex :sad:)

It was a truly great night. Found out some real names. Caught the 2:37 train by one minute. Then missed my stop. Gave the cab driver 15 dollars for 20 cab ride. Then made her take me to a Citibank ATM for the other 5 dollars even though I had the 5 dollars the whole time but I didn't like her. Pretended to use the ATM then gave her the 5 dollars.
