Nah, I simply came to the realization a few years ago that spending my days off on the couch feeling like the rat's ass was ludicrous. I work hard all week and I'll be damned if I'm going to spend my Saturdays and Sundays puking and downing Excedrin.

Add in the fact that my livelihood depends on me having a license and I really behave myself when I'm the one driving for the night, especially if I'm also responsible for a passenger I really care about.

I know I'm coming to the recap late, but I did want to say some things.
First, I add my thanks to Mikey and Jon for putting together a great night. The bar turned out to be a great choice. Truly, though, it's the quality of all the people that makes these things so memorable. Saturday, I met new people, saw people I hadn't seen in forever, and saw people I'd seen just last week- didn't matter, everyone treated me like a friend, and I hope I did the same. People often talk about "board friends" and "real life friends", but if we've proven anything here it's that at RonFez.net, the two come together.

It was my pleasure to finally meet the Blowhard after 7+ years, who immediately recognized my name, and I didn't even have to go over and kiss the ring, he came to me. (Alright, he came by the bar and I happened to be there...) BritneyPablo was hysterical (I can't wait to sleep on your floor), as was Eric how you doin' BUD-DAY!! Hope he takes up our pleas to join the board. I told some folks the story of Pete from Portland(OR). Pete, if you're reading this, speak up!! I tried to find you to introduce you to some folks and you'd already left! Pete won for furthest travelled. Deb, my apologies for being the 9 billionth person to ask what happened to your foot. Get well soon.

I'm already rambling, but I can't forget my old friends who continue to be so entertaining after all these years. I won't get into listing everyone's name, but I look forward to hanging with you guys every single time- even Gvac. Thanks to all my diner pals- (including new pal, theJays! Yay!) perfect ending to the night, and saved me from the bad Sunday hangover that plagued so many of you drunks. Luckily, we avoided having to sit w/ Hippo and Randy... whew!

All in all, a great kickoff to the holiday season. I wish everyone out there a very healthy and happy Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Solstice, etc. Enjoy!!

That wasn't Mooch, it was the bartenders. I drank from 9-4 and bought a couple of drinks for others, and they only charged me $20. They got a nice tip from me. Yay to Blondie's!!
