You should have heard it this morning; it was way worse. Around 7am Ant was yelling like a retard about the election (predominantly about Obama & taxes).

On an up note, I tuned into CNN this morning and heard dick jokes.

I'm not sure. I didn't hear anything but there have been big holes in my listening today; I heard 7a-8a, then 9a until the end of XM.

And as per Anthony... "Once the election is up I don't want to hear any more griping".

Well, Mr Cumia, that goes for you too.
I may have to start listening to Boomer and Carton for more than just 9-10am if they can't cut down on the repetitive rants by Ant.

I hate to say it, but I have to agree with you. I traditionally liked to listen to O&A so I could have some comedy that might brighten the hell that is my workday. For a while now it has just been bitch-fests and political rants I don't often agree with. Some people might like it, but it isn't entertaining IMO.

I have been listening to music more and more frequently, which is sad.

I don't think this douchebag realizes how corporations suppress the poorer. They send jobs overseas so that the current citizens of the US lose their jobs and in the end can't afford the product that is being made by that corporation. Overproduction & Underconsumption. The gap between the rich and poor is the widest it's ever been.

People hate the rich (as in transnational companies) mostly because of the shady tactics used in order to make their billions. Rather than moving low-skilled jobs overseas, they're now moving higher skilled jobs overseas while the elite few get paid the big bucks here in the US. I think that's the main issue. Getting rid of jobs here and subcontracting to other countries for cheap labor with awful labor treatment.

true, they could just move on, but in this case it is also referencing the fact that Jimmy wrote about him in his book... and apparently stupid maxwell is taking the feud to the next level, discussing it for hours on his show... O&A always have been very defensive when someone attacks them... and they admit they get carried away. The annoying part is that they pretty much do the same by feeding into maxwell's obsession

If McCain won, the same thing would occur. He was running the same type of message: I'm a maverick and won't follow the inside the beltway, old boys club way of governing.

Shit, I think Bush, Clinton, and Reagan (maybe even Carter) ran on the same message. They were all governors of states that were "outsiders."

EDIT: Although admittedly, it may be worse for Obama than it would have been for McCain, because he did push the message harder, and the fact that he's black increases the expectations.

KingGeno

I totally agree, Eli. It would be the same both ways. The Repub party has been embaressingly bad over the past few months. It became a circus and cartoon show, and it really turned me off to McCain. I thought he was better than that. It's like they really wanted to lose for some secret reason.

Obama won. Let's see what Bush is gonna do to fuck over or fix parts of this country before he leaves office. Obama has a very very very long path ahead of him. A lot of people think he is going to step in and fix everything like that Dave (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106673/) movie from the 90s. It's not that easy.

The thing I think might help in this instance is that both the House and Senate are now controlled by the Democrats, so there is a better chance for programs to get through. However, it is a good assumption that Obama will "fall short" RE: actual change and public opinion. There is just too much to try to change with any speed, if it is possible at all.

The greatest advantage is the perception that things have changed and that some people have a renewed hope for the country and government. Sadly it has been a while since that has been the case.
