While the left has taken over the country in one of the worst elections in US history the conservatives scored a victory in CA with gay marriage being banned.

Prop 8 passes.

At least there is some home left for this nation as it slides into hedonism led by the left wing hippies.

And that home is in good ol' conservative California.

Now that we've taken care of gay marriage...on to straight marriage. How to fix that?

A note to fellow liberals:

Thought you all ought to know that, last night, California passed both a gay-marriage ban and an animal rights law. This is bittersweet news for gay farm animals. While they must now be treated humanely, they are no longer allowed to marry. So we still have work to do.

You are the worst and least consistent board character ever.

Good to know that conservatives are looked at as "characters" by the liberal elite of the board and mocked by all of those who have opposite views.

Its going to get harder and harder to survive online as Obama gains power and tries to censor others like me who have conflicting views and a religious background. Soon it will be the Democratic Underground across all websites.

So now it's considered shocking and a joke to speak out against the left wing ideals being forced upon us? A group of people finally stood up to the nonsense and it's considered shocking and a joke. The citizens of CA did not see it that way but it's a shame that this is how the left takes it.

Do you have an original opinion or thought? Keep living your life by regugitating sound bites and taglins from Fox News.

You're the same person who claimed, after a McCain campaign volunteer faked an attack on herself and carved a backwards B on her face (and blamed it on a huge black boogeyman), that conservatives would be rounded up in the streets and branded under an Obama administration, right? It's not about what some may find funny, and some may not. It is about keeping this place safe for the workplace. The STFU,C pic probably would have gotten screams over on the bag. That's a different environment. Really different.
I have used this example before, but I guess it needs repeating.

You are opening a thread and;

The 60 year old secretary is standing behind you.
Your church-going boss is standing behind you.
Your Mom is standing behind you.

See what I mean? Any of those instances could lead to the filtering of our board, or even loss of web privileges. I enstated the 2 page rule on the Listening Threads so I don't have to spend 5 hours doing the the ol' scroll-scroll-scroll all afternoon.

We read the board, and listen to the show at work! We all can't lock the office door all afternoon. Especially if you are in a cubicle.

Sadly, most Americans oppose gay marriage, including Sen. McCain and President-Elect Obama. Polling in California showed that Prop. 8 was looking like it would not pass until Obama secured the nomination. California Whites, Latinos, and Asians all support gay marriage by very slight margin, however, African Americans in California oppose gay marriage by a 2:1 ratio. So, it a strange twist, Obama's success may have lead to Prop. 8's passing.

8's passing.

i blame the blacks!

For anyone interested, the Huffington Post has an interesting article about two of Prop 8's biggest private donors.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/max-blumenthal/who-is-the-mystery-man-be_b_140801.html

I always knew that Eric Prince's (founder of Blackwater) family was very religious, but I have never heard of the other philanthropist, Howard F. Ahmanson Jr. This quote from Ahmanson says it all "My goal is the total integration of biblical law into our lives.".

ETA: This article talks more about Ahmanson:

The guy is schizophrenic apparently.

While the left has taken over the country in one of the worst elections in US history the conservatives scored a victory in CA with gay marriage being banned.

Prop 8 passes.

At least there is some home left for this nation as it slides into hedonism led by the left wing hippies.

So, all bullshit aside, what did you win?

What exactly did you gain from this? Im curious.

Interesting that gay marriage is still banned in New York and the new majority leader of the Senate says it's not a priority... Once again New Yorker Politicians "do as I say not as I do"
