I'm no shill for Romney, however it was the NYT who put let Detroit go bankrupt

His article advocated for taxpayers guaranteeing a managed bankruptcy . That headline was parroted and used to provide low info voters show that Romney wanted GM to go belly up.

When a lot of people hear bankrupt they think a company fades away.

The Obama campaign used that and Romney didn't explain his article

Guess Tagg Romney was right. Mitt didn't want the job

Com eon WF, you're better than that. Give us evidence that backs your claim.

Obama's alternative energy bankruptcies (http://money.cnn.com/2012/10/22/news/economy/obama-energy-bankruptcies/index.html)

But a spokesman for the Energy Department said that agency has dozens of programs that funded over 1,300 companies in the renewable energy space, and that less than 1% have gone bankrupt -- also true.

So just how many federally-funded energy companies have failed?

A total of five have gone bankrupt, according to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. All of the failed companies that the Committee identified came from just two programs that received significant dollar amounts from the Department of Energy. Those two programs funded 63 firms. The other 58 are still in business. That's a failure rate of about 8%.

I don't trust that report from the energy department. These bureaucracies tend to inflate their success rates

DHS claims deportation numbers are up but as I posted previously those numbers are inflated

Furthermore a lot of those failed companies were bundlers for Obama

I'm not opposed to alt energy cars. How about some of these billionaires like Richard Branson, T Boone, and other prominent ones pool some of their money and also raise outside capital , hire some scientists that can produce a car that can run another form of fuel cheaply and make cars that aren't just affordable but appealing to consumers. See if this new technology can break ground and compete with int combustion engines.
