There are great suggestions in this thread. In addition I would like to add prune juice. And water, make sure you are taking in enough fluids. Okay, too much information time, but it is possible that you have a fecal impaction, especially if you do not drink enough liquids (caffeinated drinks do not count since caffeine is a diuretic). Occasionally the only resort for the removal of a fecal impaction is the old lubed finger up the anus trick. Try pressing on your lower abdomen to try and help move things along, you can also try laying on your back and raising your knees to your chest and relaxing. And in the future make sure you are getting enough fiber in your diet, and stay hydrated.
