with kerry collins going into the playoffs on what, by all appearances, could be a super bowl team, im wondering if a starting qb has ever lost superbowls while starting for different teams

i cant think of another...

their are obviously qbs who have lost more then one superbowl
but has anyone ever lost for 2 different teams?

That's a good question. Maybe Favre will do it this year. Oh... Sorry, Earl.

No coach is taking a 1 year deal, much less Mike Holmgren.

Morton is the only quarterback in NFL history to start the Super Bowl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl) for two different teams (Dallas in 1970 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl_V) and Denver in 1977 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl_XII)). He would later serve as head coach of the USFL's (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Football_League) Denver Gold (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denver_Gold).

Lock it up. Kevin wins.

There is no way a coach would take a job on a 1 year deal. Imagine the nightmare of implementing a system, even with a QB in place for only 1 year. Its pure insanity.

the qb will only be there 1 year either way
go back to favre's best system, holmgren calls plays/is of cord

you already have half the cluster fuck in place
why not go all the way

if the afl existed and they didnt play, then not same game

No it isn't. The NFL Championship was just the NFL. The Super Bowl was created as a match up between two different leagues (now one).

He was SuperBowl MVP

and he is in the HOF, and both are the biggest crocks of shit ever:

Year Age Tm Pos G GS QBrec Cmp Att Cmp% Yds TD TD% Int Int% Lng Y/A AY/A Y/C Y/G Rate Sk Yds NY/A ANY/A Sk%
Career 140 130 63-63-4 1886 3762 50.1 27663 173 4.6 220 5.8 91 7.4 5.2 14.7 197.6 65.5 109 1052 6.9 4.8 2.8

Namath finished the game having completed 17 of his 28 passes. (Interestingly, he is the only Super Bowl MVP at the quarterback position to not throw at least one touchdown pass). Snell rushed for 121 yards on 30 carries with a touchdown, and caught 4 passes for 40 yards. Sauer caught eight passes for 133 yards. Beverly became the first player in Super Bowl history to record 2 interceptions. Morrall had a terrible day -- just 6 of 17 completions for 71 yards and was intercepted 3 times

NAMATH DID NOTHING TO WIN THIS GAME
