I've never played the game Othello. I know it as Reversi I believe but never played it. And Backgammon sucks.

The play Othello bored me much like most of Shakespeare's other shit. Just not my kinda thing.

I enjoyed blunts for most of my teenaged life, but the gravity bong, or "crippler" as its known in parts of NJ, has been where its at for me for a while now. When to send the baserunners, when to suicide squeeze, when to hit and run, whether or not to shift the fielders, lefty vs. righty matchups, on and on I could go. May be subtleties to the untrained eye, but lets face it, all sports are just trying to exploit your opponents weaknesses.

If anything the DH takes away a big part of the strategy. Double switches, letting your pitcher go another inning because his spot is coming up in the lineup, sac bunt, all irrelevant in the AL. With a DH, the answer is obvious...let the washed up old slugger swing away so he can rest in the dugout while the rest of the defense actually has to perform out in the field.

Its just a different game set up to have more strategy in it cause there is more you can do. On d you can put guys anywhere, offense only 7 guys have to be in a set spot. Its just different. Thats my point, the DH creates opportunities for strategy to come into play. Especially in late innings when the score may be close and the manager is using multiple pitchers. Having the DH makes the game more boring, because there is no question what is going to happen when the pitcher's spot comes up: the old fat slugger is going to hit. Yeah he might hit a homerun, which would be exciting, but that can happen at any point in the game. I would trade a potential big hit for strategy battles any day.

yea but you can put your guys in different spots for it, mix up the look, fool people. You cant really disguise what you are doing in baseball, or hide the shift. There is a ton of little things you can do to change the base thing

and i never said there is no strategy. Just not as much. There is more in baseball than basketball for the most part if that makes you feel better
