Shitty day, feeling defeated. No major tragedies. Lots of little miseries piling up in one day.
Hit reset like Nintendo. What's your quickest remedy to a "normal" tomorrow?
Mine's sleeping with the tv on.
Beer is nice, but not necessary.

I've had the same day for the past 3 months. Except if this was Groundhog Day I would have made progress.

This is very true, but someone once said: "everyday is another opportunity to make things better" or something to that effect.. or as my father likes to say "tomorrows a new day".. this seems too work for me.

Thanks for this thread.
I got so pissed off at someone on the road tonight (who almost killed me by pulling out in front of me) and didn't react well.
I've been stewing and kicking myself for my reaction alternately. Partly becuase he really didn't deserve the bird but he got it.
RESET!
Going for a smoke - oh and the replay - that'll help too.

At one point in my life - I'd put on Beavis and Butthead DVD's and just sit and watch.

Like Rose I am also a subscriber to tomorrow is a new day. There is no reason why tomorrow has to repeat today and if I can help it, it will not.
Beer, good food, and a loved one.

Yep. Same same theory applies to seconds, minutes, and hours.
Do what you did: Same Result.
Do something different like:
Do something you normally wouldn't do...
Show up late to work because you were at a diner talking to the cook. Do a little office space thing and go to a bookstore during lunch and stay as long as you like.Show up early to work, knock out what you have to do and leave early.Go get a massage.Watch a full length video-all of it.Call in sick, get chronic and visit an abandoned building/nursing home/go running/hiking.Visit a nursing home and talk to some old people.Point is, change it up. We're in the winter doldrums here motherfucker!!!!
I find myself in this spot once a month, more or less, basically just a muzzy, fuck you, nothing is worth it feeling towards the world in general.
I got cabin feva! and the only prescription is more cowbell!

Listen to some good tunes, also try to look at what you are grateful for, even when things are shitty there are things you can still be thankful for and it can change your frame of mind, if you focus on the negativity it just snowballs, gets you into a real rut..
hope you have a better day today.
love,
