I have this obsession with them. I go to barnes and noble and I go right to the notebooks. I love the feel of the pages and how you have all this space to put whatever you want.
I can't get enough.

I used to have the same problem. I love the black and white notebooks. I used to by them for no other reason then to have them. I would also buy cool pens and markers.
I've curbed my compulsion to buy them, but I still check out the school supply isle in Rite Aid type stores.

I used to work at Drug Fair, and they had a section of school supplies. For whatever reasoned I always got that aisle to face. I loved it. I'd pick up the various notebooks and just thump through the pages.
It's the same thing with books, I guess. I love the feel of them.
I have so many notebooks and I'm slowly filling them. It sucks though, because my right arm tends to get tired very easily, especialy when I write. It's a struggle to get through a whole notebook. But, I'm trying like hell too. Typing only goes so far. Writing the words give it so much more meaning to me. It's authetntic and in a way, romantic.

Composition books annoy the hell out of me! I was always too cheap to buy them when I actually wrote shit in my youth. When I go to stores during "back to school sales" I'm always tempted to buy them. When I do, they end up being something that I rip scraps from to put shopping lists and shit on. And they're TERRIBLE for that!
Did you ever have the compulsion to fill in the white parts of the covers with your pen?

When I used them for school I would have different colors for different subjects.
I also would cheat with the times table and measurement breakdowns on the inside of the back cover.

I don't know anyone who didn't use them to cheat.
I didn't like using them though. I was more into the mead college rule ones.

You're guys are cracking me up.
And the realization has awakended within me that the school supply aisle in any given drug store is invariably my favorite.
I'll walk down it like "oh, yeah, now here's an aisle full of crap I actually need."
And a big fan of a clean new comp. book.

.
Same here.
Then you would always have a day where you were so bored and you'd hate yourself for having already colored in teh front of your notebook.
My boyfriend and i share the same love/craze about notebooks and books. I like to write and read, he likes to draw and read so it's kind of ridiculous between the two of us.
We have bookcases in our closet, notebooks under the bed and two large boxes in the attic. Aside from everything that is int he bookshelf in the side of our desk.
I wish we had an entire room to devote to it because it is terrible.
