Whenever I am shopping and they have a person passing out samples, some people tend to block others from getting to the samples. They seem to do it unconsciously, because they have their cart in front of the table. Why do they do it? Are they wanting all the freebies for themselves??

I fucking hate those people. I'm not even interested in samples 95% of the time, I just want to move through the aisles and get what I need to get and go. Yet I have to deal with all the fatties who need to get their food fix before their next one three minutes later at the next sample station.

The thought of eating anything that's been out in the open air of the supermarket while hundreds of other shoppers have pawed at it is revolting to me.

I'd rather lick the toilet seat than eat a free sample while shopping.

Well, I was in fairway and they had cheese block samples. They had toothpicks stuck in cheese samples and they were just putting them out, so I know they were fresh. This woman and her cart was running interference to make sure it was alllll for her. F'n cheese blocker!!

I like how when you pass that sample station, you see all of the empty dixie cups on the floor or 'hidden' on the grocery shelves.

The thing that always disgusted me about Fairway was their olive barrels and the animals who would stick their hands into the brine and eat olives. Upper West Side Savages.

I did however get into a verbal argument there with Robert Urich before he died. In retrospect, he was right - I did unknowingly cut the line.

You never got a little sample spoon at Baskin Robbins to try a flavor you might be wary of purchasing? Its really helpful and they give you a little baby spoon.

If you have ever been inside a Stew Leonards for every great sample there is someone standing in front blocking it with their cart taking samples and handing it to each of their 6 kids.

For some of the better samples, like maybe a nice stuffed turkey or stuffed peppers, the sample lady puts out like two samples at a time. Several times I have actually seen someone stand there, eat one, then grab another cup, like there isnt a fucking line for the damn sample. Yes there are actually lines for samples. Then you have to wait for the lady to put out another cup. Bullshit!

I had no idea this was somehow going to be about freedamples in a grocer.........
