View Full Version : There's been a rumour going around...

There has been a rumour going around and I just wanted to address it.
The fact that Crankcase hasn't played together as a complete ensemble in over a year and a half has been weighing on many as of late. Steps have been taken to heal the wounds of olde, and a reunion is in the works.
However, our good friend and lead guitarist of many years, Mr. Wyatt, has gone and moved to the left coast, so we've had to scramble and find a suitable replacement.
I am proud to announce that the new version of the Original RonFez.net band...Crankcase version 11.4 if you will, shall be in rehearsals in the not too distant future.
The original founding members; MikeyD, Gvac and myself will remain a constant, to be joined by our longtime lead singer, Mike Kuter otherwise known as Kute Dogg (Pronounced Cooter) and the latest member to join the fray will be none other than RonFez.net's own Tele7 on lead guitar(Tom).
I feel like this will be a strong group and hopefully we will be playing live for you all again soon.
That is all.
As you were.
Cheers!
WHAT?!?!
This is all news to me.
My contract hasn't been completed yet.
I'm holding out for more money.

The truth is that we've been working on writing the greatest blues song of all time.
So far we only have two chords and can't seem to come up with a third.

Is one of them a seventh?
If so, fuck the third chord.
Edit*=Ooops. Forgot. If not. Go with E7 for thr third chord. It's always a winner.

Just wait till Gvac leaves the band and joins up with Chuckwagon and the Cook Tones.
Shit will defiantly hit the fan then.
Rich, you'll have to top 26 thousand a year, An "All American Beef" Sponsorship and his own bus. (granted the bus is only a 2000 Toyota Corrola.) But still!
BTW- Were planning on headlining at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge in Nashville.

The Back is doing great buddy. Thanks to you and Eli and the ice you told me to apply.
I think I'm ready to start those couple of back exercises you mentioned that I should do. What are they?
I also put the seat up straight in the car and I don't lean on the couch anymore.

An A-7th diminished is nice. How about a B--7th as well.

You got it.
You know what I really like in country-tinged music? When you go from the I chord to the III chord 7th. Like going from an E to a G#7th, not a G# minor.
The first time I ever realized it was when I was figuring out Willie Nelson's "On The Road Again" many moons ago.
Ditto for Waylon's "Wurlitzer Prize" when he goes from a G to a B7th.
Such a cool change.

Someone is secretly your twin half sister.
Just a few things I learned this past Sunday when Crankcase jammed for the first time in well over a year -
1) Tom (tele7 here in the land of make believe) is a frighteningly awesome guitarist. Can't even tell you how glad I am to have him in the band.
2) Mikey D hasn't changed one bit since I first met him nearly 8 years ago. There must be a really old looking picture of him in his attic.
3) Kuter's singing has gotten even better. Married life must agree with him.
4) JerseyRich still makes no facial expressions whatsoever when playing bass. Lucky for him he plays it well.
5) I'm fucking awesome.
I'd bet anything that there's not another band on the planet that has as many laughs and as much fun as we do, either. What a fucking blast.
