I dont mind his plugs or anything else. I dont like the Mathia much.

But his venture into the Cigar business is great.

I think he should be fine on this board.

ESD is a little over protective of his territory. (Although this aint it)

I support mathia life chirs..

He seemed like a nice enough guy in person and that's how I judge people. If Ron and Fez thought it was so bad for the show, they wouldn't have him on.

I like Chris. He is a good guy.

And while I will not listen to another Mafia Podcast (sorry, chris...), I say Ron knows exactly what he is doing when he asks Chris to come into the studio. Carpe Diem!

he was GREAT on the radio today. I think it was a great thing to have him do or say something embarrassing to get his plugs out. it made for great radio

I dont know if there is a name for it, but sometimes when im watching a great stand up comic or, in this case, a great radio segment, i start to laugh so hard and often that eventually everything said is getting a big laugh from me. Its like a snowball growing as it rolls down a hill to the point where even the simplest lines are making me laugh so hard

some Ron LOTD's were

Chris: I was attacked
Ron: You had your dick gently rubbed!

Chris: I'm doing a reality show
Ron: I'll watch it. It's called "Suck & Fuck with Guido and Luigi"

and even a caller calling "would you suck a dick to be a don" and Ron replying with an enthusiastic "Good Question!" just had me laughing so hard so loudly.

aside from today where your plugs were limited they usually pop up at least 20 times when in studio or while calling in.

A company like porn.com has a limited amount of plugs and they are accounted for in every show.
If the rates are as low as buying 10 Sleeves CD's (whom I greatly adore and appreciate) then I will plug my photography business on a national satellite radio show.

However, Ron inviting you into the studio and letting you plug away is another story and he can do whatever he pleases, so therefor I am not arguing it, as you may falsely assume.

Chris, you are a guest on the show, not a sponsor.
Just accept that. Sponsors would not get the airtime you get. It's not a bad thing and I never said I dislike you or your appearances on the show.
Some days they are funny and some days annoying... it really all depends.
Mostly cause I have no interest in the whole mafia and mob stuff you do.
Others may enjoy you cause they play the games and smoke the cigars while sipping on sparkling water.

Chris, Jeff and I have been nothing but nice with you lately besides a little mafia joke here and there. It makes it hard to be friendly with you when you accuse Jeff of doing things he has never done - saying he made fun of Frenchy regarding her issues. Jeff's made fun of you (or of MLC and Mafialife), he has never once made fun of Frenchy or her problems. That was a lie and not appreciated. That was a little surprising to me as well, considering you guys were hanging out with Jeff a good part of the night at the last party having a great time.

You also said the Frenchy bashing goes on here, which I've never seen, and would be locked/deleted immediately if it was personal. That was also a lie and not appreciated.

Just turn a new leaf and let whatever was said in the past go, it hasn't even really happened in months. People will like/respect you a lot more for it.

In fairness to Chris, there has been some minor Frenchy bashing here by some of the guys from FTBFBA within the last month or so.

All I know about 90% of the people on ronfez.net is how they write. Of course, we all make mistakes but if someone consistently writes "their" when he/she means "there", it makes you take that opinion less seriously. For anyone who thinks this is being on a 'high horse', think of your own standard for unacceptably bad grammar or spelling. Westley comes across like a disturbed 14 year old because we assume that only someone that age would have such crappy writing.

I can let minor spelling, punctuation, and grammar mistakes go. But when it's a constant problem, I can see my wife's point where she can get infuriated.

I just don't like people who complain a lot..I met him once at the Unity Party show last year and in person i thought he was a nice guy, shook my hand and we all had a fun time. I do think the whole "I don't care what's posted about me on boards" line is bullshit because that seems to be the center of this whole "bit", and usually is when any drama comes up that he's involved in.

Sure I've made jokes on him & Frenchy but they're jokes - people post shit about me and rip into me on podcasts (hi Fanning!! :bye: ) but you don't see me crying about them. Granted I've never had YouTube videos made about me but then again I've never put myself in that position either...

I like Chris alot, he has his quirks as we all do... but he is a good guy. He does not deserve the ridicule he gets.
Are his plugs different from Sleeves CD, Paul O or Cypher's Movies...dare I say Cupcake?
I've heard random people call in and plug their web sites.
Do you think Guests in general come in to not plug? That is what happens in life, if it benefits you and the party involved...its a barter.
It just seems around these parts, an Individual can not like someone INDIVIDUALLY...they brings their pals along for the HATE RIDE.
Chris does what he does, supports a family and contributes to the show...sounds familiar.

Some people get a much fairer shake then others... but life in general isn't fair.

I don't care what you think of me, I care about how OTHERS influence people to think of me, as it seems Chris also does.

When all was said and done, it was a both a funny and "manly" segment. When R&F have guests in the studios, there judgment is usually correct. Anyone that tuned out during that segment is nuts.

the one thing bothering me was i couldn't tell if chris was being serious or just playing the role of (for lack of a better term) "straight man"

in the end, i don't think it mattered either way. if he was just playing that role, it was brilliant tho'

Nah, I think Chris was being Chris and always has been Chris. I've never believed he is doing an act. He is never "out of character". I don't think even Andy Kaufman could have pulled of a role like that.

Yeah, Andy Kaufman couldn't have pulled off the track suit-wearing, Mob-loving, gay-hating NYC Italian sterotype. The complexities of such a role would be beyond almost anyone.

i was talkin' where ron would say chris was gay and chris would deadpan that he liked women. either he has no sense of humor and could not tell it was silliness or he did a great job going along with the bit.

Since it seems to keep coming up, i just want to make it clear that Mike has never called the show, or asked for a single plug for Mollys. And Im pretty sure I never have asked for one on his behalf either.

And didnt we agree to let all that other stuff go?

Way to single yourself out dear. I am keeping to my word. You are reading way to deep into things.
You were never mentioned or implied to while I was thinking or writing this.
Was a group attacked in some way that you to speak up on all their behalf?
I just don't get your anger with me.

Naming a Cupcake "Ron Bennington has is Own"...well, I'll just end at well.

I'm sorry...when you say "We", were you being represented? i don't recall you agreeing with anything.
And please, when I compare myself to someone else or refer to my problems keep your "didn't we make a deal flag" at home... I dropped everything publicly, not enough?

nah...i wasnt assuming you meant me. but i thought we were leaving ALL of that behind and starting fresh. i promise, i meant no anger by my post at all. i just genuinely want to get past all that stuff.

and yes, mike named a cupcake after ron. but it was strictly meant for fun and the show has been extremely kind in choosing to plug the shop, and it means so much to mike that they have. but if they decided to never mention mollys again, that would be perfectly fine with both of us, and you'd never hear a complaint or request.

Are his plugs different from Sleeves CD, Paul O or Cypher's Movies...dare I say Cupcake?

yes they are different.
Whenever Chris calls in or is on the show I immediately think; What is he going to plug today?
Sleeves brings entertainment and a lot of talent to the show and it's Ron who plugs his cd/ website, Paul O does not ALWAYS plug Gap when he calls in and I have never heard Deb or Mike call the show to plug the cupcake, it's random listeners that have enjoyed it and call to make mention.
Chris' only reason for being or calling in on the show is to plug or at least that's how he comes across or is portrayed on the show.

that's a bold statement. I already said a few pages back that it is up to Ron & Fez to decide that and they know best. Most of us know that there is always good reasoning behind guests appearances on the show.

But you can tell when Ron takes it to the next level and brings true comedy into it, if you haven't noticed; at the expense of the "guest".
I consider it incredibly funny radio.

It was Chris' best appearance ever and I told him so.

Whatever routes people take to get on the show was their route...and it worked for them.
New Lilly's route for example was not as successful, Paul O got mamed.. others started web sites.
I never asked to go on air, I was a caller as I've been to any good radio since 1974 and the WMCA Good Guys, Stern, Bob Grant Opie and Anthony, and Ron and Fez since WNEW.
Sure it took Melly rubbing against my cock to bring me to be a "KNOWN" caller. Then I met Ron at Bar 9...and he told me come up whenever I want. So I did...

This thread may be about Chris, and I support him. I just see lot of similarities thats all, and not because I'm a big older Jewish fella and he was a young supple lad.

Let's get a few things straight.

1) Sleeves is selling production that he did for the Ron and Fez show. He added to the show.

2) Paul O is selling Gap, but he's entitled to plug because he's added to the show with stunts and content.

3) Cypher Films has actually done production and content for the show.

4) Chris hasn't really done that much for Ron and Fez. It's a give and take thing. Mick Foley mentioned how a wrestler in Japan kept taking, and taking, and taking, but never giving anything back.

Chris really doesn't "give" to the show like Sleeves or anyone else has.

Yes, he doesn't give like the others you mentioned do. But, that does not mean he doesn't give in his own way. His being a "plug whore" is now a bit. So, all the bits about him plugging, all the insults directed at him about his incessant plugging, and the interaction between him and the buddies while he plugs add to the show.

You can say you don't like what he adds, but you can't say that doesn't add anything.

Paul-O frustrates the fuck out of me with his broken record of desperation, but that is what he brings and, until R&F stop letting him on, it won't stop. MLC may frustrate you, but don't make it seem like it is an objective matter, and not subjective.
