I was looking through my CDs (I know SO OLD) but I wanted something that would make me happy.

ABBA was IT.

You can dance, you can jive
having the time of your life
see that girl, watch that scene
dig in the Dancing Queen

Friday night and the lights are low
looking out for the place to go
where they play the right music
getting in the swing
you come to look for a king

Anybody could be that guy
night is young and the music's high
with a bit of rock music
everything is fine
you're in the mood for a dance
and when you get the chance

You are the Dancing Queen
young and sweet only seventeen
Dancing Queen
feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
you can dance, you can jive
having the time of your life
see that girl, watch that scene
dig in the Dancing Queen

You're a teaser, you turn 'em on
leave 'em burning and then you're gone
looking out for another
anyone will do
you're in the mood for a dance
and when you get the chance

You are the Dancing Queen
young and sweet only seventeen
Dancing Queen
feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
you can dance, you can jive
having the time of your life
see that girl, watch that scene
dig in the Dancing Queen

their music is so dated
and this video is total amateur hour

the song is kind of catchy though

I prefer Frida's solo work.

I love pulling out old CDs when I am feeling down.

Congrats of finding one that makes you feel good.

I prefer Frida's solo work.

I didn't like her stuff so much.

I thought Agnetha had better camel toe. Just my toe cents. (wakka wakka!)

ABBA is easily the 4th greatest band from Sweden.

I don't know how anybody could be depressed after listening to ABBA. They're so deliberately sugary and peppy, it's almost impossible not to giggle when they're on the radio.

They're used to great effect in the film Muriel's Wedding , you know. Not exactly a 100% feel-good movie, but it's got some cute moments. PLUS it's got Toni Collette and Rachel Griffiths in it.
