Do you have weapons in your bedroom?
I just cleaned my room up and took count:
2 shotguns (one side by side and one single shot. Both 12 guage)
Two knives. A baseball bat. A bamboo striking staff. And a pistol that fires blanks.
What kind of weaponry (or not) do you keep near you during your most vulnerable condition?

I think I started this when my old apartment was broken into while I was asleep.

I've always had a problem with being a sleepwalker/sleeptalker. I remember when I was eleven or twelve my alarm was going off pretty loudly at around five a.m. in order to wake me up to go to swim practice. My Dad came in my room to try to get me to wake up and in my sleep I proceeded to rip my alarm clock out of the wall outlet and throw it with pretty decent velocity and accuracy (according to my Pop's recollection) at his head, leaving a small hole in my bedroom wall. Along with some other similar incidents after that, I've come to the conclusion that having a weapon within reaching distance of my bed may not be the best idea.

That's the same one I have. The only problem with it is if I try to use it when it's really cold outside. That thing will freeze your fingers off! I hear the ones with LED lights are good, too.

i got one, it wasn't made by maglite, but it was an LED. it was really bright and good for close range but i still prefer the original maglite.

when i first got the 4-cell i read it was water-proof so i chopped a hole in ice on the lake in front of my old house, turned it on and dropped it in the water for like 7 hrs and i came back, had to chop it out and it was still working.

Sailor's was my favorite. I was surprised no notice was taken till about 60 posts.

Coming upstairs is a chokepoint. I'd do well with a good boot with some follow up. Come to think of it... a short 12 gauge with a nice wide pattern would put anything to rest. Since all hell's likely to break loose soon, maybe I'll work on defenses. I'd love an AR.

Now that more people are losing jobs and the economy is tanking, thefts and home invasions will likely rise. It is a good time to stock up on weapons to protect yourself and loved ones from intruders. A simple baseball bat is a highly effective way to keep someone more than arms distance away.

Not only that, but make sure to tuck away some cash in case the banks collapse. I had a nice wad stored away in a tupperware container in a cabinet. Then I got paranoid too many people knew about it, so I moved the cash into a different container in a different cabinet. Mind you, I never have people over. And now all of you know...excuse me.
