I seriously had a blast last night. Playing with the boys in Crankcase again after almost 2 years was really special. They're all amazingly good people and talented musicians as well. The addition of tele7 on guitar not only deepened the musicianship of the band but also introduced me to a really incredible person. The amount of love and respect I have for these guys can't be put into words.

One Bullet Test (featuring our very own ANC and Servo) started the evening and they were absolutely amazing. With all of JerseyRich and Topless Mike's talk of who is the classiest bass player, Servo was the only one rocking a sexy hat while thumping the walls down. Hell of a nice guy, too. ANC cemented his position as my third favorite SG player ever (after Angus and Cream era Eric Clapton) and I'd definitely go see these guys again.

Blind Man Drive is essentially Crankcase minus Mikey D and me, and Kuter, JerseyRich, and tele7 (along with Jeff their drummer) have some really solid original songs which, unlike a lot of other bands I've heard, don't all sound the same. I was thoroughly impressed, and would pay to see these guys, too.

Patti Rothberg really impressed me, too. Her songs have depth and emotion, and you can tell there no place she'd rather be in the world than up on stage. Having Mikey D as her drummer only adds to the power of her songs. That man has the tightest snare drum in the business and I love him for it.

Lisa Bianco blew me away. That fucking chick can ROCK! I see this absolutely stunning little brunette in a dress running around all night and Stugots tells me it's the chick who's playing later. I thought she would be playing "chick music" because she looked so soft and pretty, but I couldn't have been more hopelessly wrong. She not only sings with as much depth and conviction as Janis Joplin, but she positively shreds on guitar! When she started ripping into solos (complete with wah wah pedals and tasty distortion) I was amazed. She's a true rocker, through and through. I hope she finds success because she definitely deserves it.

Finally meeting Rhino and Black Spider were the true highlights of my night, however, and I always love seeing the rest of you RFnet freaks.

Special thanks to everyone for making the night so memorable, especially Andrew and Regina for putting it all together.
