I am sure you get this all the time from younger people...I have nodes on my scrotum, where the pubic hair grows..looks like little pimples all over my sack...not a big deal, been there since puberty..every once in awhile..one of the nodes enlarges and when squeezed, throws out what I can basically describe as a large zit rock....normal?

The skin of the scrotum is different from other skin in many regards. It's stretchy, contracting and expanding to allow the nuts to achieve proper sperm-growing temperatures at all times, and it's thin and oily. The oil glands of the scrotum get big and juicy from time to time, causing a nice crop of flesh colored nodules wherever a hair follicle is.

If the bumps are RED, that's abnormal and may be a sign of infection or inflammation of the follicles called "folliculitis".

If they're huge: http://www.dermis.net/bilder/CD016/550px/img0041.jpg (NSFW...it's a picture of a scrotum, after all), this is a benign condition called "scrotal calcinosis" where calcium deposits build up under the skin.

If they're clusters of BLISTERS, you have herpes, go see someone right away.

hope this helps! enlarged scrotal oil glands are normal. the reason you don't know that is because you've not examined a whole lotta scrotums up close in your time.

Ha ha, sorry, man, I went back to fix it to "Coach's Lumpy Nutsack" and the system wouldn't let me. Apparently the main server feels your nutsack is lumpy too.

I'm not sure exactly how that happened. I think just statistically, considering the volume of questions you throw at me in the forum (not that I'm complaining, ha ha!), I assumed the question was from you. :smile:

Now it makes me laugh just to think about it...perhaps when someone emails me about their infected hemorrhoids, I'll just post it as "GVAC's Awful Pus-filled 'Roids" just for the hell of it! :-)

sorry for bringing an old thread back but it is important. i am unsure if i have these or not or if it is genital warts. for the past 2 years i had thought that a girl i knew had given them to me but now for the first time i am reading this thread and thinking otherwise. i am wondering if a qualified person could post here and if i could send a pic of my scrotum for your opinion. please help me.

Dr Steve didn't mention this so I'm throwing it out there. It could just be a hair bump. Black people get them alot on their cheeks and neck because their hair is curlier. All it involves is the hair starts growing and instead of popping out of the skin it curls under and causes a bump to form. A lot of times there is some type of pus also, kind of like a pimple. Maybe that's what it is.
