I "understand" this thing if the year is 1823 or earlier and you were a peasant whose fields were ruined and you couldn't get any food and your whole family was starving anyway and in your starvation you snapped and had hallucinations that your children were begging you to end it all... but there's no justification for this shit here in this day and age. God-Awful.
