Softball this year?

I know it's only the middle of April but any talks/ideas/discussions for another summer softball game? I moved and will have to change my address over on my license, but for the time being I can still get the field in NJ one last time with no problems. If there is any chance of another game being played it would be great if we booked the field with more then 3 weeks to go like many years past. At this point it seems to be the ONLY way I can get out to see you all again.

FBA Bomb Shelter vs. Listening Thread

I have been to two softball games back in the FBA days and they were awesome. HTG was awesome at organizing and keeping it together on site ... so maybe this can be a combined bigger event as well? I know .net had one in the past years but I don't think it was really well known...

I am definitely in (depending on the weekend... ) and will be at the sidelines with the big black boy in my hand again ;)

I don't know how many years they did it before those years I went there, but they were definitely a whole lot of fun.

Not speaking for HTG.... But, I think she gave up planning the last one cause it was a big responsibility.
I think us "fba'ers" will gladly lend hands wherever needed.
Not to brag, but I managed the "mets" last year and we HOUSED. Taking home the trophy which we still have....
Maybe we can engrave it to say FBA and Rf.net?

The jerseys were just created and everybody ordered them before hand on the fba store website... I am not sure if HTG was involved with that... and not everybody bought them either... some reused the ones from the years before... some just put their team name on a blank white shirt...
it wasn't about being a fancy event... it was a fun event, lots of drinks, good food and fun.

I remember Deb kinda staying out of it until almost the end last year and then still stepped up and got things rolling and kept it organized on site... she is the best when it comes to that. But I agree it is a HUGE responsibility and understand if she would say "no more"...


But I also remember Misti played music for each team member that was either requested or suggested and had a lot of fun with that...


I think a combined effort from past fba and old and new .net members could make it a great day!

At one point, I talked the people who do the jerseys for the NY Mets. Good quality jerseys were gonna run like $75 a piece. I don't know what quality jerseys PAW media did.

Well not to shit on anyone's cheerio's but as far as I can tell this is for the RF.net game. I don't know/don't care about FBA. If you all want to make it a RF.net vs. FBA game then hey, as long as I get to play it's all good for me.
Jon I don't doubt there is going to be a game but I will need heads up for the weekend and soon, if you wait too long then odds are any one of the fields I can book will be gone. And after May I can't book them anymore with the same ease I could in the past.

Our ghetto pick-up games (thanks Friday) are alot of fun. Good food, good beer, yes Scorpion's food shal be missed but let's hope for Funk's keilbasa at least to make an appearence.

In the meantime...you all decide about when you would like it and let me know in the next 2-3 weeks.

You may want to talk to Glenn Dandy at Wackbag. He organized jerseys for their game last year and I believe they were about $20. They had a design and buttons on the front and individual names & numbers on the back.
