But I did used to be pretty good at Backgammon when I was younger. It's my mother's favorite board game.

I've played a lot of weird games on that Clubhouse Games you can play on the Nintendo DS but I'd never know how to play them without the computer not allowing me to do certian things and leaving it on easy.

Snoogans talked about Chess. I would like to learn it but there is not a single person in the circle of people I know that knows anything about it. Seeing it played in demonstration videos does nothing to teach it. I have a feeling the only way I could ever learn it would be to take a class on it at a community center, if they have it.

i've never used it before, but just doing some quick research this site (http://www.chessguru.net/) seems to be a decent place to learn. after you're even a little proficient you can play on facebook, yahoo, etc. if you want to throw a few bucks into it, there are programs or sites where you can learn that are more interactive.
