Yeah, I know this completes the goofy reading and writing triology of threads, but it also happens to be true and it embarrasses me to no end. I always sucked at math since as long as I could remember. I just barely got by. I was the only person I know who scored higher on my English portion of the SAT than the Math. Once in college I left math courses behind me and forgot what little I knew.
Splitting checks and figuring out tips is a living hell so I'll always just throw in way more than I owe and people think I'm some kind of big-shot or something. It gets really pathetic when my daughter asks me to check her second grade math homework and I have to excuse myself while I leave the room to secretly check her work on a calculator. Fuck it! If the Good Lord had meant us to solve math problems he wouldn't have given us calculators.
