My wife always asks me to, but I wont do it. I have a full head of hair and thank God, because of how clumsy I was as a kid and the fights Ive been in Im pretty sure my head is a lumpy, scarred up mess.

I am in that in between phase. Ive had short hair since I was 14 and I have a great head of hair. I do not know what to do as its getting longer. Its not long by any means except for mine. I need some advice here test the waters (I need to get the sides trimmed because they curl and make me look like an ass) or keep it short again.

Sorry if I hijack this gvac.

Do something totally different that you've never done before. If it sucks, let it grow back or cut it again, whatever the case may be.

I routinely get my head shaved with a .5 razor which is about as short as they can razor-cut you. I've never bic-ed my head though.

The only time I've ever shaved it completely was when I went through chemo. And I was told I looked really good. Well, except for the sort of yellow look I had. Luckily my eyebrows never fell out.

Anyway, after that, I realized that I could pull the look off, so slowly over the last 13 years, I have cut my hair shorter and shorter as my hairline receded. Now, my hair is cut to the lowest setting on a clipper. Eventually, I'll cut it bald or very close to it.

I did it for about a year and I loved it. I really let me goatee grow long at the time as well. Now that I've moved into management I've toned down the look just a bit, so I don't think I'll be bald ever again (Don't worry, I will never lose my hair).
