Seriously, we all know the staff/owners here accept no responsibility for the chat room's issues, so in the very least SHUT THE FUCKER DOWN. I'm sure the "economy" will be used as a crutch here as it usually is when one has no interest in true solutions these days, but it's time to make adjustments for Christ's sake.

Here's the latest attack block on my comp, yet others weren't so lucky to catch it.

What is Data Execution Prevention?

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats. Harmful programs can try to attack Windows by attempting to run (also known as execute) code from system memory locations reserved for Windows and other authorized programs. These types of attacks can harm your programs and files.

DEP can help protect your computer by monitoring your programs to make sure that they use system memory safely. If DEP notices a program on your computer using memory incorrectly, it closes the program and notifies you.

Perhaps if our fearless (HA!) leader (HA!) wasn't so busy banning people poking fun at twitter, building legos, tweeting pics of their fucking lunch, and "setting up/in the process of setting up" great events (event planners are AAs so you know). It's funny how you have 7,000 fucking USELESS tweets but can't be bothered to work your own fucking site. Sell the fucking thing Jon, seriously. I and other can buy you out easily right now, and I'd love for someone, anyone in the owners group to give two fucks about the God Damn site.

Stop trying to kiss ass in the twitter community by setting up their tweets to be read by a bunch of fucking tools. The sad thing is Jon, you didn't do it for the right reason either, you did it for the exposure and contacts...just like the bulk of those involved. The combined group's ACTUAL social skills surely showed too in the enrollment as well as shown by you're own words. So fucking sad that you didn't even bother to mention this on the site or to the show, but that would mean something more than an impersonal faggy tweet.

from justjon.net.....

"My contributions of the NYC Twestival went beyond simple Wordpress development. I created a live feed to appear on the screens at the event to display any twitter tweets that people tagged #nyctwestival. I was very proud of the feed that night to see people staring up at the screen and having their words appear for everyone there to read.

With just three weeks we were able to successfully pull off all our goals except one. Our ticket presale fell just short of 1,000, which unfortunately caused a sponsor issue. We had promised an open bar, which we found ourselves unable to now provide, since 100% of all ticket revenue was going to Charity:Water. We were very disappointed, but there was nothing we could do.

The event was a complete success, raising $24,000 for Charity:Water. Everyone had an amazing time, from the attendees to the volunteers to the organizers. An amazing party for an amazing cause.

The creation of the NYC Twestival was a magical experience. Three weeks of hard work by a group of strangers who came together one night in January, who grew into something more. Now I know what happens the Monday after the Saturday detention in the Breakfast Club, we have become good friends who continue to talk, hang out and enjoy each other’s company. We will work together again on future events, but it will never recreate the experience we had creating the NYC Twestival."

More money is raised outside of the local target with a fucking bell and santa suit. Still, at least you worked your way out of the basement for a few hours.

Have fun at the twiffle ball game! :wallbash:

Are you kidding, I doubt he'll even show up with two balls and a list of demands this year. The crux of his prep for the game in the past was fill out team rosters before we actually see who shows (stupid), pick up 2 fake softballs (the type used for young girls and retards) and making sure he has his jean short/black socks/black batting glove outfit ready the night before the game.

Sorry Jon, 8 years of fuckups and bullshit excuses brought all this on. You fucking earned it. I'm pretty sure you should start twitter.net and give this up bc you seemingly have no interest in your own fucking site. You surely don't have an interest in the problems it has, viruses it's helping spread unless it ties in to your ulterior motives. I used to blame others here, but you're the one who ultimately calls the shots in the end, especially on the tech side of things. In the least, perhaps you could delegate some authority to those who give to fucks and or bow the fuck out. With the likes of Reillyluck and so many other useless mod appointees, your judgement is seriously in question. Oh and nice way to handle that fucking trainwreck. Ignore it. I see a nice trend here from a man of ACTION!

everywherechat.com (http://www.everywherechat.com) offers free chat rooms that you can add to your message board. i used to be an admin at another board, and we used it. there were no problems as far as i know.

Which is why nothing will come of it unless Jess starts a podcast or somehow gets minor access to the show....then wamo!

Jess, do you have the 4,509th podcast that needs a forum that JustJon can tweet about and waste more time with?

The funny thing is, this site used to be about hanging with the schlubs and schmucks, not a pseudo means of getting up some retarded ladder and or token to land chicks at bars bc you "organized the event".

You know what would help them, be fucking real and stop with the God Damn act in front of them all. Perhaps then they won't run into the arms of an std having sex fiend. Just a thought. Something HAS to be wrong when things like that go down.

Those free flash chats don't allow cameras or audio to stream, I don't believe.

If that's the case you're better off just creating a chat with Yahoo Messenger.

You can cam up then.

jessicaduh
05-24-2009, 08:23 AM
there's pretty much no upkeep. it just needs to be used once every thirty days in order to keep your room private, or some shit.

then give everyone the room name & password for when they log in, the end. it runs itself.

Odds are it won't get fixed. It's an outside source that supplies the chat and in case anyone hasn't noticed, the Admin with technical knowledge has all but abandoned this site.

It doesn't appear that another type of chat room will be added any time soon.

I guess we could go back to the old days when we'd just create a room with AIM.
