The problem is on air people tend to focus in on everything negative and while they acknowledge that it isn't everyone, it turns other listeners off of forums thinking it's all "haters." Another show I listen to obsesses way too much over what forums say, and it's led to IRL friendships being strained and other assorted drama.

Either way it's one thing to talk to someone's face about problems they themselves are having (i.e. Fez's surgery and health) but it's another to comment behind someone else's back about the nature of their marriage and parenting.

That was the part where Ron made no sense. They tell Fez about his mom and his family and what his family should be doing all the time. And it's been stated that members of Fez's family listen to the show. Don't know why Fez didn't argue that point.

Looking at Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_singles_in_the_United_States), there are very few that break 4 million, much less 10 million. Most of the recent singles have only topped 3 mil with primarily major "timeless" hits going beyond that.

That caller summed it up for me pretty much. I think i just downloaded 2 new albums..NEW albums (Silversun Pickups and The Decemberists) and put them on my ipod.

I think XM has been integral in opening up new bands for me since i've gotten it. I get the band name, the name of the song and am able to investigate the band more easily.

Though i still listen to more 60/90s music than anything else.

I am now completely out of the popular music scene. I listen to a lot of hard rock and will hear new songs via SiriusXM, but otherwise I am out of the loop. I used to at least be aware of what was out there, but now that I can listen to specifically what I want to I no longer have any exposure to that other stuff.

1000 CD's? Dude, Unhallowed's 1st CD we pressed 5000, sold them all and got a quick 1000 repress to have things to sell before we recorded a new EP. Plus we got them all over the world not just selling them at gigs and nationally in the mail.
