I'm not just trying to be negative. These are FACTS.

1. He hardly ever speaks on the air anymore. When he does it's to make some outlandish statement (this annoying new character) that he has absolutely no facts or information for, nor can he argue the point to any degree that makes it sound like he even believes what he's saying. Fez is just NOT a very smart person. Maybe it's a bit, but if it is it's way beyond Fez's very limited acting abilities.

2. He is probably the least interesting person in radio. And that's saying something. He doesn't read books, watch movies, listen to music, appreciate art, enjoy good food....sure, he looks at comic books, but he's admitted that most of the time he doesn't even read those! Just looks at the pretty colors.

3. He doesn't have any jokes anymore. When he does manage to come up with a line he half stammers it out without any confidence and it falls flat.

4. How much time is wasted talking about what Fez can't do and what he doesn't know - which is pretty much everything. Again, maybe a bit. I'd argue that it would have to be because I can't imagine anyone being so flat out uninteresting and still have a job in the media! Wouldn't it be a much better show if once in awhile they could have a discussion about things without Ron having to carry it on his back and finally giving up in frustration?

If the show is canceled it'll be Fez's fault. He used to be great, but now he just stinks! I know Ron is a loyal friend, but that loyalty is going to sink the whole show. Enough talking about Fez's anxieties and what a weak-bellied sissy he's turned into. That guy's just an albatross now. And that whole "is or isn't he?" bit is the perfect example of the creative ceiling Fez has hit as a performer. Enough coddling. The show can't afford to coddle anymore. Cut him loose and let's get someone in there that can contribute before it's too late.:furious:

A bigger question would be, just how stupid is ron to let the red head ruin the show, I know most on his home board love him but outside of some remote NE station dave is done once RnF are off the air.

It used to be a good show and sometimes still is brilliant when fez is on his game, without ron there to rag on him dave has never been funny, as seen on SD.

Nope. Fez has been bringing it lately, and even when he isn't 100% "Old Fez," he's still entertaining, and the show is still better than any other show on the radio, including - make that especially - O&A.

Thirdly, the entire idea is flawed. I don't know for a FACT, but I believe that neither Ron or Fez are employees of Sirius XM. They are likely independant contractors, who are both employeed by an LLC or Corp that distribute payments to both of them. Sirius XM pays the LLC/Corp a quarterly or annual fee which was determined in the boy's contract. This makes the idea of Fez having a 'job' completely false, jobs are for employees. Suck it :)

I’ve been a big fan of the show since WNEW and bought an XM years ago just for the Ron & Fez Show.

And before you say then don’t listen, I’ll say that I don’t anymore. I came to the board to find out why I saw East Side Dave at the Letterman protest. I’m certain I’m not alone in leaving the show. I can’t imagine how new fans could relate either to a co-host who lacks all the basic skills of a successful broadcaster:

Barely speaks
Is uninformed or uninterested in most subjects
Can’t argue a point
Has trouble with pronunciation

I can’t devote time to something so awful and awkward as the Fez demise. I’ve held on for years waiting for “Fez is Back” but it can’t even happen at this point. The show is a different show. When Fez went away the show shifted. Ron is even done even playing along with Fez when he manages to get into a few minutes of an old WNEW groove. Fez can’t possibly even get to a place where I think he could work seamlessly with Ron. Wanting the old chemistry makes listening stressful. I’ve never listened to O&A and thought “oh please let Opie talk and have it be funny”.

Maybe the boards are different – you have more invested and maybe even a personal relationship with Fez. If you want to root for Fez – more power to you, I understand. I can’t devote time to something so awful and awkward as the Fez demise. I’ve held on for years waiting for “Fez is Back” but it can’t even happen at this point. The show is a different show. When Fez went away the show shifted. Ron is even done even playing along with Fez when he manages to get into a few minutes of an old WNEW groove. Fez can’t possibly even get to a place where I think he could work seamlessly with Ron. Wanting the old chemistry makes listening stressful. I’ve never listened to O&A and thought “oh please let Opie talk and have it be funny”.

Maybe the boards are different – you have more invested and maybe even a personal relationship with Fez. If you want to root for Fez – more power to you, I understand. The majority of people though take the show as entertainment, not a lifestyle. Fez is not entertaining. Not only that – his presence ruins the show. My opinion, but not alone once you leave the boards.

to tell you the truth, I was around for WNEW and I wasn't that big of a fan of the show. I didn't become a big fan til Fez became "current Fez". So fuck "old Fez"..he sucks, I prefer present-day Fez. Thats the Fez that made me love the Ron & Fez show. Everytime I say this people don't believe me, because most people can't see outside of their own opinion of "the good ol' days", but i prefer Fez as he is today over anything else


And Fez consistently has very funny lines. Today when talking about the iphone Sirius-XM App and Fez said "when i heard that we were getting an app i was hoping it would be cheese sticks", thats a funny line!
