My other point was going to be that Ron can't compare an athlete to Susan Boyle.

Athletes start their career and conditioning at a very young age. What comes with that is the skill set required to handle the pressure.

As that athlete continues to go through the high school scene, college and potentially enter the professional realm, they are more able to adapt properly to the situation.

Susan Boyle sounds like she went from playing pee-wee to being thrown into the majors.

I recently had a conversation with a 37 year old friend regarding a classmater of our. My friend's parents got divorced when he was in his twenties (after his youngest sibling graduated). The classmate's wife just came up to him recently and said she wanted a divorce because she is a lesbian. They have two kids, but she's really happy as a lesbian.

I started to say that it's good she's doing it now, because why go through life being something you're not and doing something you don't like or desire. I stopped the discussion when my friend started talking about the kids. He had a look in his eye that still said he was upset about his parents' divorce.

Some kids can't handle it at any age.

I feel really bad for your friend. I don't know how I would take it if my wife left me for another woman. Good for her I guess, but the feeling of being such a worthless man to turn a woman away from it would be unbearable.

That may not be the case, but it would be hard not to have that feeling.
