Last night I went to Kohls to return some stuff and to buy a memory foam pillow for Rhino. It was 8:30 at night. I thought I would be solo, however, Burkely (my 6 yr old) asked if he could go along. I let him come with. He hates shopping. Once we were on the road he told me the pillows were next to the candles. Okay.....yeah so? Burkely loves to go to Kohls just to smell all of the Yankee Candles.

Is there some place you go just for the smell?

My sister-in-law hates antiques yet she likes to go in the antique store just for the old, musty scent. I love to go to Yellowstone Park just for the sulfur smell. Sometimes I just light matches for the hell of it so I can smell the sulfur.

i wouldn't say i go just for the smell, seeing as i am there for other reasons, but no matter what i'm getting i have to go down the coffee isle at my local supermarket, the smell is like nothing i have ever known. the smell of fresh ground coffeee is amazing.

Planned Parenthood.

Fresh ground coffee, the scented candles, anything vanilla, red meat cooking over a flame, fresh basil, the forest. I am a very scent oriented person.

I love going to garden centers to smell the fertilizer, the way oil burners smell, gasoline, camphor, Formocresol, alginate adhesive, plumber's epoxy, and skunks. Nothing makes me happier than when we go upstate and the skunks are pissed off.

Anytime i take the dogs to be groomed, i LOVE the way it smells in there. Perfumey from the shampoos and such they use on the dogs. Unless of course they have a dog that's been skunked then i can't get outta there fast enough, that stench is vile!

I love the detergent and air freshener aisles in Wal Mart. All those scents mixed together take me back to when I worked those aisles in high school at Wal Mart. Such carefree times.

I love the smell of new lumber. I'll go to that section at Home Depot just to breathe deeply. Oh, and the laundry detergent aisle at the grocery store...ahhh...

Kind of embarrassed to admit that I know this, but your kid is right, the pillows are pretty close to the candles at Kohls (I bought one there for my wife)

This may sound weird, but I just love to stop by gas stations and take a nice long whiff of the public restroom there. Kind of reminds me of "back home" ya know?
