I guess some women feel that they are bulletproof, because I have noticed that some of them have no problem saying whatever it is that bothers them about other women, even if that escalates into a confrontation that involves male involvement. Why is that? Why can't they just keep it to themselves?

Is this about the time that your girlfriend got in a fight in the movie theater and the other guy said that his chick was in "battle mode"?

Because many women walk around with a false sense of entitlement. The most common thing I have heard is, "I'm a woman you can't hit me!" Something that I have seen women do that has utterly annoyed me is just sit on a random motorcycle to take pictures, and I know in my heart that if a fuccin biker would come out and see that his bike has scratch marks from heels then that woman's attitude would change. That is why I don't immediately judge when I hear of a man hitting a woman because sometimes these women hit first and then say the mantra. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying go all in and beat a woman senseless over some small thing, but I am on the guy's side when they go into crazy mode and start taking skin and drawing blood. I've seen it all too often and honestly it makes some women look less equal in my eyes because they hide behind this imaginary protection and assume inferiority for their benefit.

I'm probably going to catch shit on this board from the, "A real man should NEVER EVER hit a woman," people but I've seen women do some atrocious shit that would change their mind if they were ever on the receiving end.

My friend lives in an apartment in a 2 family house and for a long time, she was the only one in the building. Then. A young single mother moved in downstairs and she has 3 girls, and now they all share the laundry room, the driveway, the yard, the hosen whatever. My friend brings her own trash out to the curb on garbage days, and the other women my forget, or she will leave the empty cans out by mistake or whatever and it pisses off my friend. She says stuff about the other womans shortcomings when she is within earshot or knows her windows are open. Sometimes the other woman has a boyfriend over and when my friend does this, I fear it may escalate should the other woman "have enough" of this talk. I try and tell my friend to knock it off, and that only fuels her anger. Why get into fights over stupid shit when you share a house with someone? I think it all went back to one time when the other wiman used her detergent or left clothes in the dryer.

so she is not really saying what she thinks TO the other woman but acts passive aggressive...
if it fucking bothers her that it's standing out there or not taken out... she should move it as an act of kindness... you mentioned the other woman is a single mom with 3 kids, she probably has many more things on her daily schedule that to worry if she pleases the other neighbors.

it's not just the single mother thing... but if it bothers you, change it...
I have moved my neighbors trash cans when a storm came or I noticed they were not around to take them in themselves... it's being a good neighbor...
I even offered to mow her lawn when she just had her baby and I would do it if they were not around just cause it is a nice thing to do... and I would be happy if someone did it for me if I was unable to... People like your friend are what's wrong with neighborhoods here... everybody fake greets you and asks how you are doing yet no one really gives a fuck how you really feel.

Dude!

Its very fustrating, because I try and be a gentilman and help a woman out, and I have to catch hell after hearing the complaints within earshot of the person she's complaining about, and trying to avoid a confrontation.

Funny I was just talking about this this past weekend. I was working Friday night and there was a girl in there who was drunk and giving her boyfriend attitude. At one point she turns to him and says "Here hold my purse like the bitch that you are." I couldnt help but laugh and shake my head.

She turned to me and started to say something about how I should watch myself when I cut her off with "Dont even try it. Go sit down and mind your mouth when you talk to me." She looked right at me, apologized, and went and sat down.

I just dont get some guys. A woman is only as tough as the guy shes with will allow her to be. As soon as shes with a guy she knows isnt gonna take that kind of bullshit a woman will cut out the tough guy routine. Ive seen it and personally have dealt with it over a dozen times myself. The result is always the same.

sr...why are you taking this battle on as a responsability? I know this woman may be your friend but you should let her deal with this on her own, I wouldn't offer advice or try to help in any way I can..if she complains just smile, nod and then change the subject.

Its not that I wanted ti take it on, my friend was complaining that the other woman left the trash can down at the curb, and it was baking in the sun and stinking. The garbage men won't come for several days, so I offerd to move the cans back up to the driveway. I was trying to solve her complaint. But instead, she felt that the women needed to hear her issue by talking loud and near her window. She wanted her to hear the complaint! So to me, that's confrontational and likely going to escalate the situation. I am a peace guy, not a fighter. So I try and set a scene up so no one needs to get their feathers fuffled.

This is not a confrontational situation. As was said, it's bullshit passive-aggressiveness. If you wanna help, tell your friend to grow some balls and bark or stfu, if she's not gonna do anything but bitch about it.

Why hasn't your friend just talked to her? Seems kinda high schoolish the way she's handling it. And if I was the single mother and had your girlfriend doing the comments by the window thing, I'd leave the garbage out occasionally on purpose just to be a dick and hear her get bent out of shape.

I've had neighbors just like her. Great people

Wouldn't you want stinking garbage further way from the house anyway?

I just found this:

We all know what the best kind of Girl Scout cookies are, but we can't agree on what to call them. There seem to be many theories on why there are two different names. Myths: (1) East Coast v. West Coast (not true, I've eaten both cookies on the west coast); (2) Caramel deLites replaced Samoas for a more politically correct name (not true (as far as I can tell), I don't know why it wouldn't be politically correct to name a cookie after an island. Furthermore, I can't find any evidence that that's where the name came from. Even the Assistant Director of the Washington D.C. Girl Scout Council doesn't know why they're called Samoas. (http://discuss.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/zforum/02/freemedia_meidlinger022202.htm)
The reason they have two different names is because they come from two different manufacturers: Little Brownie (http://www.littlebrowniebakers.com/) and ABC (http://www.girlscoutcookiesabc.com/)/Interbake (http://www.interbake.com/index.php?page=abccookiebakers). Each Girl Scout Council selects their own manufacturer, so it's perfectly conceivable to see both types of cookies in the same national region.
If you must have your Samoas or Caramel deLites, but you happen to be in the opposite council area, you can always buy your cookies online. The Girl Scout national Board of Directors created a specific rule against online sales, but that hasn't stopped online sales (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?query=girl+scout+cookies).
Our old friend the "idea / expression dichotomy" prevents recipes from having copyright protection (though they might have "thin" copyright protection on the actual sentences used to express the method). Thus, there's nothing preventing you from making your own knock-off Samoas (http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/copy/cp1017888989.shtml). (You can't sell them or otherwise compete with the Girl Scouts though.)
In case you were wondering, someone has figured out how many cases of girl scout cookies will fit in your car (http://scoutingweb.com/scoutingweb/SubPages/CookieCaseCar.htm).
