I cant wait for the first coffee snob post talking about how their mom and pop place is so much better and how we're all slaves to coporate franchises

I was VERY pleasantly surprised to see that Starbucks had finally been forced by the marketplace to offer affordable coffee. I was arguing how I hated Starbucks in a thread here a few months ago and someone told me that Starbucks had actually added regular drip coffee menu items instead of their infamous 8 dollar coffees.

I still won't go out of my way to go there because it's nothing special, but good to see affordable shit on their menu.

A. I barely go to the mom and pop store. I brew my own.
B. If you want to pay that much for hot water run through some crushed coffee beans, God bless ya.

It's not about the man forcing java down our throats, it's common sense.
Buy a new coffe pot America!!

You are probably the one that told me Starbucks had added drip coffee stuff to it's menu seeing as you got so uppity about Starbucks Bashing.

Yes, their regular coffee is about the same price as any other national chain's regular coffee.

But they're trying to sell you those specialty things and you have to admit they're a little pricey. I don't like to drop most of a 10 on a cup of coffee.

I do not go to Starbucks, it has been at least 3 years since the last time I have.

But they do have a good blueberry muffin. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.....

I'm pretty sure they've always had drip coffee. At least as long as I've been going there.

It's infuriating. Its the same fucking price as Dunkin Donuts, only its much better tasting coffee. And better service.

Eh, McDonalds and DD make specialty stuff and it's nowhere near the price Starbucks wants to charge for some of their shit.

As for taste, I don't want to get in an argument about that, but I don't look for Starbucks because of their taste.

As for service, all the chains are only as good as their local staff. I've had plenty of assholes in any and all coffee places.

I just prefer to walk into a 7-11 or Quick Check, make it myself to my taste, pay a much smaller amount of cash and be on my way.

I guessed you missed it, but McD put a coupon booklet for FREE (no additional purchase needed) coffee in the sunday paper a couple of weeks ago. This is Starbucks way of trying to strike back. (weakly)

I haven't bought a "paper" in months, and that was only to get the Sunday flyers because I was looking for sales.

I've bought like 5 newspapers in the past 5. The digital age is killing the newspaper and we won't miss them.

Yeah, but when it comes to coupons, there's so much refusal of internet printed ones by retailers. They will keep printing them like this, even if it's just for the free doorstep pennysaver. (The McD ones were in that too)

We have Shipley"s doughnuts here and they have very good coffee. Since I rarely eat doughnuts the kolache store I go to once a week has even better coffee, and man is that some great food.
