In high school I was best friends with 2 girls, friend 1 and friend 2. We had lots of fun...I mean lots of fun. Friend 1 and I were pretty frickin naughty...we did things that would make any parent cry. Friend 2 was just giggly and egged us on, but never joined in.

So now in the future this is how our lives have played out

Me: Married, 2 kids....as crazy as ever, still doing shit my mom would cry over
Friend 1: got pregnant at 19 married the father, has 2 more children, super religious, home schools her kids, stay at home mom, blah, blah, blah
Friend 2: went to college forever, got some degrees and married a military person

So my question is....who do you think is going to Hell?

I know so many people like that. In their heyday they were just completely out of control and then once they find religion they feel they have the right to lecture other people that know how to party and keep their kids completely sheltered.

It always ends the same way, the kid leaves for college or moves out of the house and before you know it they are either fucking anything that walks, taking any drug they can find or just completely reveling in excess.

Its happened to so many people its almost fucking cliche. Yet these parents never learn to give their kids a little rope and let them enjoy their life a little so freedom doesnt come as such a culture shock.

When I lived in Florida I was dating the niece of Wayne Huizenga. He owned the Marlins, Dolphins and Panthers at the time, so her family was LOADED. This girl lived such a sheltered life that at 21 years old she still had to be home by midnight. She didnt drink or do any drugs. I was more her little secret then her boyfriend as her family wouldve freaked if they knew.

Within 6 months she moved out of her parents and into an apt. with 3 single girls. By 1 month she was smoking pot and taking ecstasy daily. Drinking her face off nightly and banging a new guy every other day (we had split before this). She was like an 8 year old that had tasted chocolate for the first time.

Her parents were very protective, but not overly. They just held very high expectations and were never there. Always traveling so she had to be with the "parent of the week" so to speak.
