on a serious note though, that was a great episode. I really loved the way it was filmed and two scenes in general looked really great. The first was when Rick visits his son in the barn and its just the two of them silhouetted. Also, Rick and Shane's showdown on the hill with the moonlight and everything just looked awesome. I don't read the graphic novel, but I don't really have to in order to assume that those two shots were pretty iconic images from the books.

The only thing I thought was weird is that they did all that walking through the woods, but still wound up only about 100 yards from the house? Little weird, but I'm not going to get picky. That episode was crazy good.

Not only that, they werent at the farm yet. They were still in their original camp outside Atlanta. Shane dies pretty quickly in the comics, I think I heard on O & A today it was in the 6th issue.

Im watching the marathon on AMC, this is why i have to watch them all back to back. At the end of the Nebraska episode Rick kills those 2 in the bar, it was still light out. The very beginning of the next episode (Triggerfinger) it opens in the bar but its completely dark and you hear more shots. Followed by Glenn saying holy shit, and Herschel just nodding at Rick. Im saying the 2 in the bar changed and Glenn and Herschel know you dont need to be bitten to change. Very subtle and i missed it previously.

Well im guessing its some man made disease that mutated and went wrong. Where it stays dormant until death brings it out. And once it started reanimating the dead it spread like wildfire. It actually makes more sense then one person getting it and spreading it. You would think if that happened the government would be able to quarantine it before it spread to the whole country.

I have yet to read the compendium, & I just read the first 16 issues or so, but they had a "very special" chapter in one of the comics where Morgan & Duane were celebrating Christmas together (alone, not with the group). But I agree, Morgan is too good a character to forget about( Now have to crack open and read Compendium 1, where he might show up)

Im pretty sure the helicopter plotline will be shored up next season, not exactly how it is in the comics, but close enough.

Merles not the goernor but it wouldnt surprise me if hes there with them. Hes not even a character from the comics so they can have free reign with a guy like that.

Morgan and Duane Im unsure of. If they try to follow the comic storyline you wouldnt see them again until Season 4 or 5. So they may have to switch things up just to bring them back into the fold.

the only way I thought of explaining it (and I should get a writers credit for it) is that those people in the cars perished before the contaminate infected everyone.... if you died before infected you R.I.P. after infection,you become a walker till you destroy the brain... I,m Good huh...

That's possible so we'd have to hope that they tell us one day that they died of brain trauma so no walking dead others died from other injuries but the mutation inside them hadn't become active yet or there was some airborne thing that hadn't happened yet so they were dead and unable to re animate

I think it's due to amplification. In fact, there's a pretty good set of zombie books( FEED & DEADLINE) dealing with everyone having a virus in their system . If you're bitten, the virus gets into your blood stream & kills cells , which already have a small amount of the virus in them.So, a bite kills the bitten , but the virus reanimates

Being bitten is like a snake bite. The poison travels through your bloodstream and kills you. The only way to stop it is to amputate the infected area immediately.

Plus if they follow the comic, Rick loses his hand, Lori gets shot and killed and falls on the baby and kills it, Michonne gets tortured/raped but then goes back and scoops out his eyeball and cuts off dick. Yea I remember all of that.

But in the comic they see the helicopter crash, and Rick, Michonne, and I forget who else goes to check it out, thats when they get kidnapped by the Governor, right? It looks like they are gonna keep that story for Rick, but Michonne and Andrea look like they get caught by the Governor before then (thats how it looks in the preview). Im hoping they keep as much in as they can, including the Governor having his zombie kid chained to the floor.

As far as the prison goes, Im hoping they dont just replace the little girl that got turned into a zombie last season with Hershels daughter. I think Sophia is still alive in the books, so I just hope they dont skip the psycho storyline just to keep her alive.

I was a bit confused at first - was that Lori? Did Carl mess up and not kill her? But then I watched The Talking Dead and one of the show runners said that zombie was NOT Lori, rather, that was the zombie that found her body... and then ATE her. All of her. That's why the zombie had a huge gut.



I think last night was also the first time we see Michonna smile when she killed those biters.
