We never saw Carol officially die did we? Tdog held up the walkers so she could escape and that's the last time we actually saw her I believe.

Yea, I didnt understand why they were digging a grave for her. Im pretty sure shes still alive. In the preview for next week I heard someone say "Thats Carols knife".

Another great entertaining episode. Season 3 is easily my favorite of The Walking Dead. Next episode is the "mid season finale" which sadly means we have to wait a long time for the second half. Sigh!

It really is a practice that too many cable originals do - give 'em half now, give 'em the other half much later.

Agreed on this season. In fact, other than the pilot, I've never felt I had to go watch the previous seasons again (when AMC was having marathons), but this season I will.

The only thing that kinda was strange was that guy in the cabin they found, who didn't seem like he'd be able to survive that long on his own with a forrest full of walkers. It just felt like a strange detour. Glen killing that walker was bad-ass.

The doctor was so naive and clueless in his little experiment. I look forward to him being eaten.

I truly did "LOL" when they just tossed the cabin guy to the walkers so they can get away from the back. A bit messed up, but kind of hilarious and smart of them too.

Oh and Glen was indeed awesome in his scenes in this episode.

I agree with razor. I love anything post-apocalyptic, and the first half of the first season was a lot of fun, but I caught a few episodes during the marathon this weekend and it's really not very good. A lot of my facebook friends go crazy for it, so I feel kinda like I did when Lost was making its run. Everyone seems to love it, except me.

The reasons I don't like it don't really have to do with acting or production value, it's more about poor characters and story lines. Shane and Rick seemed to have the only interesting dynamic on the show, and while Daryl is a good character, his actions make no sense and are there just to enforce poorly written, slow, dragging plots.

I wish the show was less about the Rick family and more about the larger picture of survival from the eyes of the leader of a small, organized militia.

a bunch of fans sent the studio or whomever boxes and boxes and peanuts

You were right, the show is really just focused on what a small town knows, it's pretty cool to see how they handle logistics and how info is slowly leaked to them. The mother may be the most annoying character in the history of television, but other than that.. it's pretty good.

Only the Walking Dead could make a sex scene the most frightening moment of the episode. Whenever anyone could be that happy, I'm waiting for a zombie arm to reach in.

I thought it was a good episode in we see Rick's conclusion that the Governor was batshit. I also like the two camps bonding while they talked, especially Daryl and the other guy. Andrea blew it going back, although it seems she might have made up her mind to kill the Governor.

The last two or three episodes have been the absolute best of the series.
Quite honestly, prior to these last installments... I was getting bored.
I much prefered the show when it was much smaller. Just a few people... running and gunning. As the weeks progress... the group gets bigger and bigger... then they're on a farm and they have water and beds.... and then they're in a prison with walls & fences etc etc.
I love that the last couple of episodes have been much more intimate. The danger of the walkers is always looming in the background, but.... now they're also dealing with their non-zombie enemies. I LOVE IT!

I also liked that Michonne finally showed a little growth. Seeing her smile (twice!) last week was refreshing. I was bored as fuck watching her just scowl and pose.
Enough. We get it. You're pissed. You have a fire inside you. A rage. I GET IT. Now, be a fucking real person... wouldja please? And she showed that side, thank god.

The writers are building the tension.
It's almost unbearable... and I love it.

there's three episodes left, more likely than not next week will finish the build up to the the woodbury group finally attacking the prison. Hopefully they'll stretch the fight somewhat over the last two episodes. All this build up to it and then just cramming the fight into the season finale wouldn't seem to give it it's due to me. I'm still holding out hope that Morgan will show up at the end.

I just get the same feeling from this show now that I got from Lost, and virtually every other show like this. They are just dragging out the story to create episodes. The characters make erratic decisions that don't really fit them just to keep the story going.

That's the problem with ordering x amount of episodes for a show. You really can't fill a whole season with integral episodes. Then they have filler episodes to stretch the season out. So far though at least this 2nd half it hasn't been that bad.

I dont understand what more anyone could want from a show. Yes its a zombie show but its alot more than that. As far as filler episodes, you have to build a story. It sucks when you wait a week and not much happens (i liked this week and thought the previous was the best ep in the series) but you cant have 1hr of running and gunning zombies nonstop. That would get old after week 2. I am jealous of the people who wait and watch a whole season at once. I do that with alot of shows but im too into this to do it.

Also, i rewatched 28 Days Later and didnt hate it nearly as much as the first time i watched it. Its no Dawn of the Dead remake but it had its moments. World War Z looks ok but the CGI zombies look fuckin lame.

Ive read the books and I like how they are kind of following the story in the way that yes, the zombies are the main threat at the beginning but as time goes on in a post apocalyptic world, the real dangers that reveal themselves are starvation, lack of supplies, and other humans.

it's a huge world obviously but over time as they have shown on the show the survivors had been very adept at killing zombies and aren't really much of a threat unless u corner yourself or get surprised by a herd but at some point in the future most of the zombies will have been killed by whatever humans remain and when those humans die they'll be taken care of before they turn

it's a long way off but my point is like triple skeet said zombies aren't the real threat anymore

OK, who's the twinkle-toed son of a bitch who said that Lennie Clark was gonna be in the finale of this season? I kept waiting for him to go full "clear " on the Governor and his men . Then the Gov gets away like Darth Vader in Star Wars. At least Tyrese is still around.In this part in the comic, he was drawn & quartered by the Governor .

The finale was really a letdown. If they wouldve just followed the comic it wouldve been incredible. Instead they changed it too much. How do you kill Andrea? The comics are like 5 seasons ahead and shes still alive in them. Im hoping they are maybe extending this Governor storyline because they still havent left the prison, so maybe when they do they will kill the baby then. They have to kill the fucking baby. Shocking shit like that is what makes this show great. Kill that little fucker off.

Why would you bring everyone back to a nasty prison that is still overrun with walkers when you could live in a town that has some semblance of normalcy?

With the Governor's crew down to 3, Rick & Co. could have easily defended Woodbury against them.

As soon as I saw those toddlers and octogenarians all I could see is zombie fodder for next season.

I was hoping the governor would be waiting for them when the group got back to the prison or at least would walk out of that double door that Rick had his back turned to watching everyone get off the bus and toss "Little Asskicker's" limp body at his feet. Total cock tease of a season finale. Andrea couldn't die fast enough. You're handcuffed to a chair in a room with someone turning into a zombie and you're taking time out from getting free to have some nice chit-chat time with him? What the fuck? The mid season finale was far and away a better episode and I think the way this season went out is what got Mazzara fired. Just what a fizzle.

Why is it exactly that the walkers are all of a sudden passive after Michonne cuts their lower jaws off? I get that they can't bite now, but it's not like they know that. You would think they'd still try to come at you.
And why do the other walkers ignore her just because she is walking with her two "pets"? They should still smell that she is alive and come after her.

I would think theyd try to scrape skin with their top teeth. And i just assume the others dont attack bc they dont see the pets attacking and shes not making any sudden movements.

Im not sure if they explained it in an earlier episode, or I just remember it from reading the books. Supposedly at first they do still try to attack, but eventually realize they cant eat and wind up becoming docile. And by walking with two of them so close without them attacking their smell masks hers so the others dont realize shes alive.

But the show doesn't even seem to attempt to answer it. Why is she able to just walk with the non-arms-and-jaws-cut-off zombies? Why do they just stand still while she was sleeping in the car? It just reminds me so much of Lost.

Theres alot they kind of gloss over that they get more into detail in the comics. Maybe they do it because if they go in depth people will accuse them of stretching the show out for more money. :wink:

I got a question about the last episode.

When Glenn wakes up there's a whole bunch of zombies trying to reach him. When Glenn gears up and makes a run for it, he sees that girl in the fence and there's no zombies around her area until Glenn opens and goes in the fence. WTF? Why didn't the zombies go after that girl in the first place.
