Today during his call Jay Mohr upon hearing Fez speak acted shocked that Fez was there. Was it a shot? Or was he really shocked to hear that the host of a show bearing his name was on the show he does 5 days a week from 11-3?

Its wild that "50% of the show" (which isnt remotely close to being true) is the only one whos allowed to take complete offense to a joke about him not saying a word for 8 minutes ON THE SHOW THAT HAS HIS NAME ON IT!!!

Jay is supposed to be their friend...he calls in to talk about concerts, albums, and acid - Fez predictably adds nothing (which is fine b/c its not his thing) Jay makes a joke about it, and all of the sudden its Caseys fault???

I listened to this show all thru high school on wnew, listened as much as I could online in college on jfk, and got xm when they started. Its very rare that I miss a show, its part of my routine, and now that I sit in front of a computer all day at work I have posted a lot here. I really enjoy this site and for a while have enjoyed/delt with the shows new direction/Fez's problems, but seriously Fez and the way the show has gone in the last 2 months has really bummed me out.

Its supposed to be a comedy show right? Im not saying dick jokes all the time - part of the reason why I love this show is b/c everyone sits at the cool table and we're all part of something together- but my goodness...its been downright hard to listen to recently.

I think it was a little ball busting on Jay's part, but his intent seemed to be a little ribbing, not an invitation for an argument. I'm sure Jay could have handled any return jokes aimed at him without getting worked up. He was probably expecting a little back and forth. Ron is always pointing this out when he says something and Fez is silent. Makes me remember John Belushi in Animal House when he shouts "Who's with me?!" and charges off by himself. He stops and looks back at no one following him. Ron does that a couple times a show sometimes.

i think the oddest thing I notice is the RBI show. the show is called ron and fez. the person ron interviews is usually in the studio with 2 of them. yet only ron talks, asks questions, and interacts. Fez reads the plugs. and usually NO ONE ever asks or tries to engage fez. If you were in a job interview and there were 2 people there, wouldn't you expect questions from both, or at least try and engage both with you answers?

this relates back to Jay because a lot of times when he calls the show only ron talks to him. he was fucking around with fez, but lately fez has been trying to re-establish his dominance. we are in the period where some people get the new fez and some still think of him like he has been the past 3 years. another 6 months and it will all be settled and the new roles will rule the show

It's a COMEDY-TALK show, featuring two COMEDIANS. Of course it was a shot, but I doubt that Jay was seriously hoping to hurt Fez. Naturally, he does know this is a 'sensitive' time for Fezzie, but perhaps he was playing into the bit? He knew it'd ratchet things up a little, stir the pot.
