I've only heard of men trying out for womens sports teams on sitcoms.
I do know 4 girls that played on men's sports teams, 2 girls were kickers for a local HS football team and 2 played for my HS's baseball team. The girls that were kickers were also the best players on their soccer team. I don't think that school had boys soccer for some reason.

Geico would still have plenty of customers without the support of anti-beck people. Geico chose to side with the boycotters because they would rather have even more business. I don't find it scary. I may not agree with the group that decides to boycott, but that is their right. And a company/corporation has the right to advertise or not. If a company chooses to give in to pressure that is their choice. They could just as well stand up and say nope, we are going to do what we want. Kellogg's dropped Michael Phelps after he was caught smoking cannabis. I don't agree with Kellogg's choice in doing this but it was their right.
If you are worried about public pressure and it's effect on your entertainment then perhaps you would do better with supporting podcasts. They do not rely on public airwaves or advertising money and are just as entertaining as anything I can find on broadcast radio, satellite radio, or TV.

No, not exactly. No one's talking about Beck being exempt... the problem is this: it's a tiny, tiny group of people wielding so much power that they can pressure major corporations in such a way that it can ultimately lead to a massive chilling effect on free speech. It's very scary.
And yes, the backlash against the Dixie Chicks was nonsense.
There are people like Beck that are constantly pumping out radical and false information. There are also people who appear to be lashing out on extreme levels.
As far as I know there aren't any direct connections, although it certainly seems or at least seems possible that Glenn Beck is stirring some people's emotions (people who might not be playing with a full deck) to their boiling point.
That's my mixed metaphorism for the day.

Also bringing up the suspension of O and A really doesn't fit this situation. They gave an apology for what a guest did on their show. They then went on their CBS show and mocked the apology and mocked XM, making the apology insincere and making them look like jackasses they deserved to be suspended for their lack of respect and not taking a directive from their bosses seriously.
And who listens to tiny groups? If they were so tiny no one would listen.

Les Paul dead at 94
By Alex Young on August 13th, 2009
According to Long Island television station News12, American jazz guitarist and inventor Les Paul has died at the age of 94. The Wisconsin native is credited for such innovations as overdubbing, delay and phasing effects, and multitrack recording, as well as the creation of the Gibson Les Paul guitar.

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1003906/identifying_the_signs_of_clinical_paranoia_pg2_pg2 .html?cat=72
Paranoia is a word that is thrown around in our day to day culture, however, it can be a very serious aspect of psychiatric disorders. A word which is usually associated with simple suspiciousness, true paranoia can be mild or paralyzing. Though often an aspect of other psychological
disorders, paranoia on its own is divided into three categories: Paranoid Personality Disorder, Delusional (Paranoid) Disorder and Paranoid Schizophrenia.
Paranoid Personality Disorder is a disorder that causes individuals to be suspicious for no reason and often cuts into their relationships with others. According to Kaplan & Sadock's Synopsis of Psychiatry,
"Persons with paranoid personality disorder are characterized by long-standing suspiciousness and mistrust of persons in general. They refuse responsibility for their own feelings and assign responsibility to others. They are often hostile, irritable, and angry. Bigots, injustice collectors, pathologically jealous spouses, and litigious cranks often have paranoid personality disorder."
Suspicion is a consistent symptom of paranoia. Those inflicted see others as a threat, using any evidence, no matter how small or non-related to prove their point. In a marriage, this manifests itself as impractical jealousy towards their partner.
People with PPD (Paranoid Personality Disorder) are hypersensitive, taking any comment or the smallest glance personally or as something offensive. They are often defensive and aggressive, never able to accept blame or criticism, despite the fact that they are very critical of others. These individuals are also often aloof, appearing emotionally cut off from the rest of the world. They believe themselves to be rational and rarely seek help for their problems.
Delusional (Paranoid) Disorder is the more intense version of PPD. A more debilitating disorder, these people exhibit a "persistent, nonbizarre delusion without symptoms of any other mental disorder." These delusions usually consist of beliefs that
are untrue, but are firmly believed by the individual. A person with Delusional (Paranoid) Disorder could experience any of these 5 delusions:
Grandiose delusion: The belief that they possess special powers or knowledge, such as holding the cure for diseases or they are able to ensure world peace.
Delusion of persecution: The belief that they are being hunted or targeted by some outside force.
Delusional jealousy: The belief that any irrelevant mark on a spouse or partner or an unexpected event is evidence of infidelity.
Erotic delusions: The belief that they are loved by another, usually a well-known public figure.
Somatic delusions: The belief that there is something wrong with their bodies, including that there are bugs crawling in/on them or that their bodies are misshapen.
Hallmarks of Paranoid Schizophrenia are paranoid thinking and behavior. These behaviors are accompanied by strange delusions or hallucinations, usually with a specific theme. Often they hear voices or believe that their thoughts are being controlled. While people with milder forms of paranoia are often able to work or maintain clear thinking, those with paranoid schizophrenia have a very hard time maintaining their lives and are very often extremely confused.
As of right now, the only way for a person to be accurately diagnosed with clinical paranoia is to have a psychiatric examination. Often clinical paranoia can be treated with antipsychotic drugs or psychotherapy among other things. The dosage or amount of therapy time will be specific to that person's condition. It is important that paranoid patients and their family members stay in touch with a psychologist, as they will be the only ones able to truly understand and alleviate the situation.

Well that's the real question, isn't it? Why? The how and the who is just scenery for the public. Casey, Dave, Jay Mohr, XM. Keeps 'em guessing like some kind of parlor game, prevents 'em from asking the most important question, why? Why was Fez driven insane? Who benefited? Who has the power to cover it up? Who?

I admit it, I don't respect Fez anymore. For years now he's whined that he's "trying" to talk more. His JOB is to talk. We the subscribers pay him to talk, and the fees get higher every year. If he can't respect us by participating in the show, why should we respect him?
Also, comedy doesn't work if you draw lines in the sand that no one can joke with you because your feelings will be hurt.

Slacker is similar with the thumb up system. They also have premade channels which I enjoy, because I can then click on artists as they come up and that brings me to similar artists.

Good point. But it does seem to me that Ron is losing patience. I agree he would never let Fez go, but Fez has got to be feeling pressure from other places, the whole ESD role for example. ESD gets engaged and Fez withdraws, then the gears start turning in Fez's tortured brain and all kinds of thoughts come to him. I just picture him stewing while Ron and Dave are having their hilarious conversations. He seems to feel like the only way he can be as meaningful on the show, since he doesn't really keep up with sports (except football somewhat), music, books, etc, is to play the sympathy/crazy card.
