With all the tension (den zhun) in studio of late, would a hypnosis show bring all the issues to a head, ultimately bringing the show out of this malaise?

I'm glad you started this thread. i was thinking about this the other day. Who should get hypnotized? It should be a real talent that thinks fast on his feet but perhaps tenses up in front of a live mic. A guy thats known to be consistently even daily a great asset to the show. That guy is of course...

the daily lleeder. I'd love to be on the hypnosis show

It couldn't hurt anything at this point.

Unless the hypnotist suggests that everyone remembers what they did, they will only randomly remember parts of the show.

I expect, it not to help much because the show's roles have changed too much.

To fully utilize the hypnotist show, you could appear more often in studio so the listeners get a feel for you as a guest and then compare it to the following hypnosis show.

Much rather see a drinking show.

I really never was able to "buy in" to the Hypnotism gimmick.

Always felt it was a stunt and the joke was on me for believing it for a second.

Yeah, a drinking show would be great, but the suits probably wont allow it.

The hypnotism intrigues me only because of the lambasting they did of OnA....

I'd like to see a role reversal b/n Fez and ESD....of course, it would be devastating for their relationship, but man will we laff and laff and laff.

I actually tried to get Ron & Fez to do a hypnosis show a few weeks ago and Dave said there were issues with space and security. But that they really wanted to do one. I'm game to do a show, but can't seem to get things worked out on the Sirius/XM side.

That's why I miss the old WJFK days, the show had an open policy about coming down and chatting with the boys, and anybody could get access to the R&F. Now you have to go thru layers of red ink to get on the show. I'm sure they will get a hold of me when they get it all worked out.

seems kind of hack to go back to the well like that.

The one i heard was great, but another time people may not go under and turns out like crap and then the show is dreadful and sullies the memory of the good show

Don has been air at least a half dozen times thru the years (may be more, feel free to correct the number), but by keeping to once a year or so, they remain fresh because they don't overdo them. And with personalities like Fez and ESD hypnotized, even if the other people suck, you can fall back on reliable talent.

There have been mentions on air about having probs bringing people up. It's unfortunate that they can't let listeners up like they used to.

I don't think we have ever had a bad hypnosis show, every show seems to get better. I think I have been on the show probably 10 times in the past.

hypnodude, dont you say that people who are very narcistic and shallow and into themselves are the easiest to put under?

I'd love to see a hypnosis show where the people who were under weren't made to do wacky things but rather answer questions truthfully.

That would really be interesting to hear someone be completely open and honest, without any guard being up.

GVAC, here is the problem with that. You can lie under hypnosis. That's why its not admissible in court. If its something very personal to you then you might tell the truth, you might make something up or you might not answer at all.

I'd like to ask you a few questions about Wampus and Mikeyboy.
