I am fucking sick of the Americans Won the War bullshit.
Americans beat Japan, true, but in Europe, it was the Russians that won helped by the German's lack of supplies and Hitler's dumb moves.
By the time D-Day happened, the Russian were already half-way to Berlin.

Yeah, but the point is that not one american had to die in the European campaign. We were isolationists until we were brought in by japan.
All in all, it was a war on the opposite side of the planet, and we sent our boys over to die and yes, to WIN.
And they did.

The point being made is that the US didn't win the European part of the war by itself. Maybe we didn't have to be there (although that's questionable given the alliance between Japan and GermanY), but we had reasons to be there.
And yet, you often hear people talk about how "we" bailed out France and England.

Russia wasn't in the best shape, but it still had a lot of resources, etc. to carry on the war. They won the Battle of Stalingrad, which arguably was the turning point of the war, without our participation, etc.

Brett, leave it alone.....some people are just born Communist.
It has nothing to do with communism. It's about being accurate about history. The participation of the United States in the european portion of the war was crucial to the Allies winning, but so was the efforts of Russia. There's nothing unpatriotic about acknowledging the efforts of other countries in a win.

I actually like those. Before I got my 240sx I was looking for an RX7 (RX8's predecessor). It's a good car especially if he's into the tuning scene. Just tell him that if he starts it let it warm up properly before he shuts it off i.e. moving it from the garage to the driveway.

I did, right after my divorce 29 years ago, high maintenance and moved too fast.

They could only film for abotu 20 minutes uninterrupted when Rope was made.
The movie was split into several segments. If anyone fucked up, they had to start the section from the beginning.
Rope is two shots.
Never heard of it.
rope is not in top 5 to me.
off the top of my head:
Notorious
Spellbound
Psycho
The Man who knew too much (both)
Sabateur
