While there IS a lot of drama on the show lately, what sincerely bothers me is the amount of Fez bashing that's been going on lately.

The man is a human being and he has issues. I don't think it's of any help to Fez whatsoever to have people constantly bash him on the air and on the message boards.

One thing, in particular, that bothered me is something that occurred last week. I can't remember exactly what day it was but one caller got Fez upset and he started to cry. That broke my heart..so I called in to defend Fez. I got through and told the screener (not sure who it was) that I was calling in defense of Fez. He put me on hold..I was there for about 20 minutes and then he came back on...muttered something really quickly and disconnected the call.

I called right back and got through...told him it was me again and he told me that they "already have too many 'defending Fez' calls on hold already". I thanked him and hung up and listened to the rest of the show.

What did I hear? NOT ONE FEZ DEFENSE CALL! Every call bashed Fez! So...why was I told there were too many Fez defenders on hold when there were NONE? It appears the screener didn't WANT Fez defenders on the air!

So..you can condemn me for defending Fez...but Fez did something wonderful for my daughter for her birthday back in December. I e-mailed him and asked me to do something simple..and he went far above and beyond and he did something AMAZING for her!

Fez is a wonderful human being. Maybe if more people showed him some compassion, he might be able do deal with his issues and he might get some happiness in his life...which, in turn, would make the show much better.

No...I am not defending Fez simply because he did something for me. I was calling in to tell people what Fez did so that they could see the unselfish and caring person that Fez is.

I don't know if there is any plot...I just know what I hear on the show..and lately it's been pretty anti-Fez. It's just my opinion and I think it's wrong.

I understand that and I respect that, MikeyBoy. I am not here to cause shit with or for anyone. I am just stating my opinion based on my own experience that day.

I have been listening for three years and that is the first time I have called. It didn't leave me with much interest in calling again.

I mean this very respectfully....perhaps you could tell us the screening process and who decides what in order for a caller to get on the air. Just so that those of us who aren't regular callers or who haven't called the show know what to expect and what we're up against to get on the air. I thought I had an intelligent and informed opinion...but it wasn't deemed necessary to put on the air. I don't know who made the decision...but it really bugged me...especially when NO Fez supporters got on the air that day....not even ONE.

Just my two-cents worth....

I have not, nor will I, bash Dave. I enjoy Dave on the air. While I do not always agree with the nit-picking he performs on Fez on a daily basis, I find him an asset to the on-air portion of the show.

Lastly..I am not a Fez Fanboy and would appreciate not being called one. I am a fan of Ron, Fez, and the rest of the crew involved with the show.

That's an interesting story about your call not getting through.

I remember the call you mentioned, mainly because it's the only time Fez cried in weeks if not months. He lost it for a minute, apologized directly to the listeners, and said how hard he was "trying" - sounded right from the heart.

Ronnie B didn't know what happened because Fezzie had been having a great show up to that point, and the fact that this seemed to come from nowhere with little provocation underscored how hard he was trying to be there on the show.

He's been succeeding and that's what perplexes me, the refusal for anyone to acknowledge that and the eagerness to write him off.
