Almost a year ago. I called the fact the forum community was turning into a hate-fest. When that sort of behavior is encouraged, it is very discouraging to those who want to enjoy the fansites. I was a big victim of hate trolls because I started STI, and shoved my products down peoples throats. And mostly because people love drama, and I played into it. I am sorry.

Years ago, we stuck together. We were able to dissagree without going directly after people's families and personal issues. Is there not a way we can dissagree about a topic without being hurtfull?

Now, I agree when I first was on this kick, it was too much. I wanted unity, and everyone to be nice, but I have learned valuable lessons since then, and I am sorry for assuming. It was unrealistic, and extreme. I do owe it to you guys for helping me see the error or my ways. I owe it to all of those trolls for helping me understand that you cannot change how people feel about you, nor should you. Respect other people's views about you, or something you did/do, and move the fuck on. I have one the toughest skins in the game because of you guys, and I appreciate it.

The truth is, I have realized that not everyone likes one another. They may be strongly against a certain behavior, or a point of view that conflicts with their nature. They may just dislike the other poster/person for any reason, none of anyone's business. Thats cool. We cannot, and should not force people to agree, or get along.

But, am I wrong to think that we can all come together for a mutual respect, not to make someplace a negative atmosphere where the show hosts themselves don't even want to be? Am I wrong to assume that we can at least learn to be civil on our fansites?

Can we not dissagree without stepping over someone elses boundaries?

I don't want no fucking credit, and I certainly am not starting this post for a fucking pat on the back. I already knew what this was coming to.

I honestly dont see this place as a negative board. I mean, I see people on here that may agree and disagree with certain members of the show about certain things, but I see very few people that say they hate the show. Or even hate members of the show.

Now I agree that some people use board characters to go over the top and attack people anonymously and I do think thats pussy, but is it really that often?

Almost a year ago. I called the fact the forum community was turning into a hate-fest. When that sort of behavior is encouraged, it is very discouraging to those who want to enjoy the fansites. I was a big victim of hate trolls because I started STI, and shoved my products down peoples throats. And mostly because people love drama, and I played into it. I am sorry.

Years ago, we stuck together. We were able to dissagree without going directly after people's families and personal issues. Is there not a way we can dissagree about a topic without being hurtfull?

Now, I agree when I first was on this kick, it was too much. I wanted unity, and everyone to be nice, but I have learned valuable lessons since then, and I am sorry for assuming. It was unrealistic, and extreme. I do owe it to you guys for helping me see the error or my ways. I owe it to all of those trolls for helping me understand that you cannot change how people feel about you, nor should you. Respect other people's views about you, or something you did/do, and move the fuck on. I have one the toughest skins in the game because of you guys, and I appreciate it.

The truth is, I have realized that not everyone likes one another. They may be strongly against a certain behavior, or a point of view that conflicts with their nature. They may just dislike the other poster/person for any reason, none of anyone's business. Thats cool. We cannot, and should not force people to agree, or get along.

Why do people assume because people have 1 single thing like a radio show in common that they would have absolutely anything else in common is beyond my scope. Why they would then use that 1 thing to develop trusting relationships with people online to complete strangers is again beyond my scope. Why they would then become confused at the very least, then angered...frustrated and eventually enemies of these very same people eventually is not shocking.

Why people would then use a platform like a message board that develops around this solitary interest to reveal personal information that draws their family, home and work into the picture is again beyond me. Is it really a stretch of the imagination to wonder why groups of complete strangers only attached by a single thread like a radio show, will use that personal information for self serving and manipulative purposes to launch attacks against others?

I first joined this site 3 years ago because I thought it would be cool to talk about the Ron & Fez show with other people since not too many of my friends in the "real" world were too interested in the show. However, first thing I noticed when getting here Chris was this board, like all the others I signed up on (and never posted on, but merely read) was the message boards have never really been about fans getting together to just discuss the show in a fun environment similar to that of the show.

So sorry Chris, I beat your discovery by 2 years. But of course had I posted this then, it would have gone ignored or I would have been flamed. Because the message boards are all about little pockets of fans acting in little groups trying to show how cool they are, or posing for the hosts of the show, or trying to get air-time, or trying to be friends of the show, or trying to get attention. And you Chris are just as guilty as anyone.

You have proven that by turning fans of the show into commodities by buying their screenames as websites, as if actual fans of the damn show gave a fuck what some other fan wanted to say on their own damn website. That means you bought into the entire concept that a fan held an equal standing as a host...but I could ramble on that concept forever.

A true fan site of a radio program, in my opinion, should NOT have hosts of the show as members. Should NOT have people who appear on the show as members. Should NOT even seek the attention or approval or the attention of the show. Once it crosses that line it stops being a vehicle for fans and starts being a vehicle for the show.

There is a line. It seems the people in the Ron and Fez audience do not understand this. Some of us just want to be fans and just want to discuss stuff with other fans. And we want to do it without bringing into focus the details of our everyday life. If stuff were kept on that level we would not have all this drama and personal soap opera crap on air or on the boards.

I get the Ron and Fez opinions directly from Ron and Fez. I get Dave's opinions on air. If they want a website let them start a website. They should not get a voice on a fan site. When they do then it stops being a fan site. And all the opinions of "fans" on the site start catering to the opinions of the hosts because now all the little posters now are shooting for show mentions. That is how things get split into factions and teams and camps on the site. Fuck that.

First thing I would do if I started a Ron and Fez fan site would ban Ron, Fez, Dave and their family members...and their close personal friends. Then I would ban anyone appearing on the show. Then I would ban regular callers.

That way you get a fan board of opinions of fans and supporters of the show with no horse in the race...and a bit more honesty than you are getting now.

Normally, I have absolutely zero time for MLC. I don't care for his constant selling of products and the mafia gimmick. However...

I'm with him on this. I have just about fucking had it. I enjoy Ron & Fez as an entertainment show. I enjoy ronfez.net as a outshoot of that. My problem is lately I haven't had fun with any of it outside of MPW.

I'm tired of assholes fucking with ESD & Casey's personal life. I'm tired of assholes fucking with Fez's personal life. I feel the same about people fucking with Fred from Brooklyn, Mafia Life Chris, French Bread Pizza and now Gvac. It's fucking pathetic.

I'm sick of people calling the show as "TC", when they aren't TC. The same has been done to other regulars. I'm sick of people swarming to the board who aren't regulars to all gang up on individuals who don't agree with their stand point.

The point of the Ron & Fez show and community is to be cool and have fun. The M.O. has been to be better than the "shock n' jock" jerkoff fans. What the fuck is going on?

I have seen more gutless fucks with "characters" on this board lately than I care to stomach. Not the funny "Tiger Woods vs. Jack Nicklaus" board characters, but bullshit characters who don't want to identify the outlandish shit they are saying. I disagree. We have hills and valleys as to this shit, and right now, we just have a lot of it going on, in large part due to the troubles on the show. If the guys on the show can keep the drama off the show, I think that you'll see less of it here.

A HUGE part of the Ron and Fez show has always been accessibility to the fans. They allow us in the studio, they'll chat with us on IM, they'll hang with us in bars, etc.

If there's a problem in the "community" it spills over to the show, and they're going to deal with it.

Almost a year ago. I called the fact the forum community was turning into a hate-fest. When that sort of behavior is encouraged, it is very discouraging to those who want to enjoy the fansites. I was a big victim of hate trolls because I started STI, and shoved my products down peoples throats. And mostly because people love drama, and I played into it. I am sorry.

Years ago, we stuck together. We were able to dissagree without going directly after people's families and personal issues. Is there not a way we can dissagree about a topic without being hurtfull?

Now, I agree when I first was on this kick, it was too much. I wanted unity, and everyone to be nice, but I have learned valuable lessons since then, and I am sorry for assuming. It was unrealistic, and extreme. I do owe it to you guys for helping me see the error or my ways. I owe it to all of those trolls for helping me understand that you cannot change how people feel about you, nor should you. Respect other people's views about you, or something you did/do, and move the fuck on. I have one the toughest skins in the game because of you guys, and I appreciate it.

The truth is, I have realized that not everyone likes one another. They may be strongly against a certain behavior, or a point of view that conflicts with their nature. They may just dislike the other poster/person for any reason, none of anyone's business. Thats cool. We cannot, and should not force people to agree, or get along.

But, am I wrong to think that we can all come together for a mutual respect, not to make someplace a negative atmosphere where the show hosts themselves don't even want to be? Am I wrong to assume that we can at least learn to be civil on our fansites?
