2000 sick sounds like what happened every year when I went back to school, every semester it seemed like everyone got sick, everyone coming back into one place from being all over the country (and world) was bound to create one hell of a mixing bowl for whatever everyone was carrying. This just seems like more of that except with a flu strain everyone knows the name of.
