At a party I noticed this, and they had a tv on and I saw it on a show as well. What I am talking about is how young women express and exaggerate emotion though the eyes. They roll their eyes to expess false disbelief, they widen them to express fake shock, and a myraid of other emotions. I wonder when this started, or if it something that they have always done. I was looking at the guys in the party and on tv as well and do not see guys doing this. But I do know a guy that does it, and he seems very gay. Is the over expression of emotion though the eyes a strictly female trait? Look at women today, and at men who are talking and pay attention to the eyes and you will see what I mean.

people didn't start using their eyes to express themselves until the dawn of the silent movie era

before that they all just had blank looks on their faces, but talked with what sounded like over exaggerated radio talkshow host voices.

I think you are right Rob. I think movies did it. I am not saying itswrong or that I don't like it, just an observation of people in general. Men rarely conveigh emotions through there eyes, other than anger or smiling. Women are masters of expressive eye movements. Once you focus on it, its hard to not find humor in it though.

..sometimes it's fake because we don't want to put much more effort into being interested in whatever anyone is saying

sometimes it's just another way of us to express ourselves and have men ignore it yet again and say "we never know what you're thinkingggggggg wahhhhh"

i commend you on your observant and intuitive nature though, rare that a man would even notice shit like that.

what amazes me more is that while there are countries that cannot afford medications and treatments for the most simple conditions even the US develops and FDA approves a treatment for inadequate LASHES????
