I went to Shopsins for the Ebil Skibbas and the place told me they dont just make it you have to order an entree to get the dish and only one per table. It's obviously up to them to decide what's best for them, but to claim you're "insulted" when offered an opportunity to solve a number of your family's troubles is simply disingenuous. He's worked with (for) Fez for how long, and if he thinks that little of Fez's gestures of help, than Fez needs to wash his hands of him completely. I would never publicly attack a friend's gesture of goodwill on air like that. He should have turned it down off-air and they could have simply told us he passed on it and that the matter was over with.

The only reason I'm commenting on this is that ESD routinely brings his personal life onto the show as topic for discussion. Well, like I said in my previous post, this fan of the show doesn't want to hear him bitch & moan about his $$$ anymore. Sick of this...

As for Radio production, O&A pay their staff better - so it can work.
ESD talks about his life because he thinks it makes good radio. He is far from the only radio /tv personality to talk about life not being easy.

Did you read my post?
The nature of his job as a radio producer is a single guys type job. Its not gonna pay a wage to support a big family on. Plus he works right in the middle of the day so a second job would be hard even if he was motivated.
Fez offered a way to make the job work and he takes offense.
MY OPINION IS:
that the anomosity between Casey and Fez is under the rejected offer.

No, Ron brought it up to bring about resolution to an open topic from the last live show (which I believe should have been handled off-air, as well). And I do know something about this, because it's all we ever hear about from them and I had similar financial troubles when I lived in NYC a few years ago (granted they live in So.NJ, but between his travel costs and the cost of the house, plus the coost of whatever vehicles they likely have, it probably comes quite close to what a 2BR apt. in an outer borough cost.

We know ESD makes squat. We know Casey was laid off and has no income. We know they receive substantial support (financial, material, etc.) from their parents.

Believe me, I WISH I knew nothing about their personal situation, because I think the show, the staff and the listeners would be better off for it. But to claim "hear no evil, see no evil" after over a year of this crap is to either be ignorant or an enabler of the broader situation.

I do see his point re: his posting only when the topic is discussed on-air. And regarding his comment about moderation of Earl posts, I was only a lurker back then, but from my memory the posts about Earl were a free-for-all.

Not saying it's a Fez-style "conspiracy," but an open forum (restricted to thread topic) hould remain open, as long as there are no personal attacks, and nothing ShowerBench said was particularly out of line.

I've praised Dave often and even in discussions on the Fez-Dave conflict. I also criticize him - producers' balls have always been busted (at the most personal levels) because it's fun to do and funny to listen to. I could expect a message board for a show to curb criticisms of hosts but didn't expect Dave to be off-limits especially since no other producer has been.

Anything I said to day directly addressed and criticized Dave's on-air response to Fez's offer.

I really dont think fez brought anything, dave likes to play mind game just to screw with people in a juvenile way and in fez's weakened state he mistook sarcasm for sincerity then felt worse when he was laughed at for not realizing it.

Fez didnt really do anything wrong and it has been dave pretty much busting his balls the entire time or just mocking fez with laughter in the background, we all know fez is not 100% and shit like that will never get fez back.

I joined this debate because I heard Fez getting back on his game and decided to point that out here since there was an overwhelming anti-Fez "Fez is over" vibe. Fez said on the air it wasn't helping his morale and it was spilling onto the show with calls, etc.

Oddly, the pro-Fez sentiment was met with even more intense anti-Fezzism.

Finally, once there was pushback on Fez's behalf, posts about both were suddenly curbed. Up to that point it was a free-for-all.
