With mikeyboy walking away from this site the Ron and Fez show has turned its back on us and we no longer enjoy the relationship we once had with them.

Videos and photos of in-studio antics are now posted on *gasp* Twitter, for fuck's sake.

Is there any moderator here who is willing and/or able to step up and fill mikey's old role of liaison to the show?

Is there anybody here who is NOT a mod who has a relationship with the show in any way who would be willing to step up?

Maybe it's for the best. I think the tight relationship the site had with the show is ultimately destructive. I give it 3 months before the CEO of Twitter steps down because of its relationship wtih the Ron and Fez show.

What exactly needs to be healed? I'm being serious here, I just don't see how this board being EXACTLY what it is doesn't resemble the show outside of it not being 100% controlled by Ron. We rip, we fight, we love and we debate. I'm just not seeing this rift outside of some little things being played up and the lack of events bc our leadership here have clearly either bowed out, gone awol or clearly aren't in the area of the show itself.

For a site that bears their names, I think we should have a good relationship with the show.

You're missing my point G, I'm not saying we shouldn't have a relationship, I'm saying nothing really changed on this end of it in terms of the normal posters. If anything, it's bc our mods/admin/owners aren't involved in the same nature. MB was one of the only guys still involved here as far as owners/admin go. Yet he wasn't the guy who would set shit up so much. Lately, it's been posters like Hammer, Justice, Casey, Joe/HT and others putting together shit to do. For a real event/pressence to build here, it has to be official and promoted.

It did though. It's a reflection of how the show changed, and I understand that.

There was a time no one here would DREAM of attacking either Ron or Fez, but in recent months that has changed.

Both of the hosts have become fair game, as well as the family of staff members.

It got out of hand for awhile.

There's a difference between honest criticism and assailing members of the show, and that's a line that has unfortunately been crossed here far too many times in recent memory.

Has that happened in the past? I think so. Has it been more of late? I also think so. However, it does tie into the fact that some other harder sites have closed and they felt the need to gather attention immediately here. Still, I think the reasons for the rift have been played up a bit and people need to realize it/let it go. Twitter will NEVER be a fun community where everyone hangs like this, and it plays up people's egos that they need to be heard/seen with little or nothing of something to say/do.

I think the board is fine but they are a national radio show on satellite they should have their own website it's sad they don't. People with shitty podcasts that no one listens to have functioning websites and forums. I blame that on them they could host all these videos and pictures and more if they took the initiative.
