My family is so spread out I don't feel right doing that. I would feel so bad if someone needed me and I didn't get the message until the next day. So I always sleep with my cell right next to my bed. I turn the ringer on low or vibrate but I still get the lone late night/early morning texts or calls. Sometimes I answer and people say, "oh, I didn't think you'd be up I was just gonna leave a message." Damn them.

There's only a few people who have my cell number anyway. And I don't mind those people calling me whenever. They all know my usual awake and sleep times and those people also know that I'd want them to call me in an emergency no matter the time. I also trust them not to abuse that trust, so I have no problems with my phone calls.

phone is on silent 24/7 unless im expecting an important phone call then i put it on vibe. otherwise i deal with texts and voicemails and if someone wants to talk on the phone we set it up thru text first
